you are being redundant. do you really think JD and the ownership actually have pursuit quality free agents? look at Rendon: they were out of the bidding before it really got started because they made it clear they were going to low-ball and that ended it. JD did a presser where he said they were upset about not being considered when they offered less years and less AAV than every other team and made it clear that was their ceiling. agents and FA's have learned that the Rangers are not serious players in free agency

I think the issue with Rendon was the length of the contract not the money
