Yea, it was an undisclosed day-to-day injury. He is playing right now... Had a goal, but it was waived off due to a Chara penalty. Then Chara netted 2, so he redeemed himself.

April 3rd is the last Flyers-Rangers game, I hope to hell the Flyers already have their seeding locked (or can safely lock something up in the final 3 games against what now would be non-playoff teams) so Shelley, Carcillo, Rinaldo, Clackson, Hartnell, and Walker can all play 20+ minutes against Avery and just pass him around like a drunk chick at a frat house.

Just saw the clip and your post was pretty spot on.Averys sucker punching a less experienced fighter was bad enough but what dubinsky did was just as bad.jumping on a guys back while he's not facing you is pathetic.didn't catch the number of the ranger but the shove to the back of the flyer into the boards was cowardly as well.Personally I would be embarrassed if my team behaved like that when it comes to physical play only thing missing was scratching and hair pulling and I think rangers fans should think twice before calling other teams dirty again.Obviously I don't care for either team but I hope the flyers get retribution next game hopefully dubinsky and avery don't pull a uterus before then.

Nah, it was dismantled fairly quickly. Although the prospect of trading Geno will eventually come to pass, I don't think that happens for another season (more likely 2). He's got time to bring back the normal Geno.

To comment on Avery: he's a prick with talent. Seriously, he's talented, but that all goes wayside when he plays like a jack-wagon and pulls stupid crap. I just have to think that pulling stunts like the Thomas thing even annoys his team mates. I imagine that hockey players would like to avoid having to get punched if possible, and probably would like to avoid having to stick up for a tool-like move ala Sean Avery.

The Rangers looked pretty bad in that video. One jumps on a Flyer from behind, another checks a guy from behind into the boards, and Avery throws punches to a guy on the ice. I know this one set of incidences does not stereotype the entire team as being cheap but it sure as hell doesn't make them tough either.

Avery threw a couple more punches when Powe went to his knees... Half the friggin league does this. And Prust did nothing wrong... Just sent a message.
