I think this would be a better matchup than people realize. The Bears are probable the one team that has a twin set of tall physical receivers to match up with the Seahawks secondary. Marshall has historically done really well vs Sherman as well. Forte would be a treat as well. Seahawks did lose 2 starters on D and people forget that the Bears had the best scoring offense in the NFC last year.

Too bad they don't play

The Bears offense is definitely formidable. If the defense is good enough, then they could play Seattle -- in the playoffs.

No... I'm not there yet. I'm more concerned about them winning games in their own division. Until they can win the NFCN, this discussion is meaningless.

So you diss the Seahawks and Russell all year. Even after they win the title, you change subjects (like by trolling me about how Wisconsin basketball would go to the NIT....Good Call), and still won't admit a mistake. Then you leave for two months and make a bunch of pro-Seahawks posts and expect no shit?

If you're going to act like a loudmouth on a message board, you need to be classy and admit your mistakes instead of turning into Oregon Ducks.

Right now after what Seattles D did to Manning and the statistically best offense ever in the nfl..... noone can be mentioned in the same light...... Its the off season after our first superbowl. Hawk fans can have this mentality until proven otherwise.

Ill just say that the bears oline has a history of getting Cuddy bear roughed up. Look at how quickly they were on Manning in the superbowl..... Doesn't matter how good your WR's are if your qb's scared shiRtless

They do have great receivers, they need a qb that will get them the ball and not shrink under pressure.

When are you going to admit your mistakes?

We don't know exactly what Seattle's defense will be like next year. They did lose some great players off that unit this off season. The core is still there and that secondary is still as sharp as any in the league. They will still have a solid LB corp and some keys to that pass rush last year, but will still have questions up front.

It's not teams with great receivers that are the threat to this unit. It's about your line play. The teams with the greatest chance of success against them will be those with a solid line. The loss of big red leaves questions about their run stopping so some combination of great run blocking (obviously a great runner is also needed) and solid protection will give the best chance of success.

Doesn't do any good to have the top receivers in the game if your QB is on the run from the get go and Seattle was very good at doing that to everyone last year.
