even if it's for a scheduled narcotic, it still comes down to player stupidity for getting caught.

just imagine if they actually did truly random piss tests for marijuana and cocaine use in the NBA. lol.

From my understanding the tests are scripted per the NFLPA/NFL agreement, but what typically gets players busted are masking agents because if you are doing something...the time for it to clear your system naturally can be 30 to 90 days depending on what it is.

Its illegal in the NFL. And how did you confirm it was weed?

I don't think it has been confirmed yet. I will wait until the facts are known before I make a comment on WT3's behavior.

Someone reported it was for non PED's and that's all I've seen on it. Still call a douche bag a douche bag. You don't serve a 4 game suspension for a first offense for non PED's so it means his dumb ass was already busted for it before and told what would happen if he did it again... and then did it again. :L

But also keep in mind that the NFL normally takes at least 2 months to get to the point where a suspension is handed down. We don't know when he was tested, but it likely was early in the season or even could have been late camp. Either way he knew it would land him in deep trouble and did it anyway. He put his team and their dream in jeopardy. That's the act of a selfish idiot if you ask me.

It's not the states option. There's federal laws against weed and they are what they are regardless of what is or isn't on the books on the state level. That's why there's still federal raids on some dispensaries every now and again (hopefully that crap has stopped). State law enforcement has made it really clear that they don't care what's on the books federally and aren't going to enforce those laws.

The federal laws on weed (and every other drug) are a huge violation of the constitution and state's rights. It is absurd that they have not been struck down.

Side note, even ignoring this, the scheduling of marijuana is equally absurd.

Federal laws pertaining to this are non binding since it's state's option under the constitution. This is why the govt isn't pursuing this.

This is not true. The feds could pursue anyone they want for weed sales / possession in states like Colorado. They don't because Eric Holder has decided he's not going to pursue it. In 2017 a new DA could if he wanted to.

In other words, Daryl Washington has turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment. Got it.

P.S. "AllDone" as Uhsplit likes to call him had 2 sacks last night. Which is as many as Daryl Washington has had all season.

They did, when it all started, target dispensaries and the such. But the backlash and negative press from it during a bad economy made them look foolish and so they backed off. In all honesty, this was another broken campaign promise from Obama.

Agreed, there is no need to classify it with heroine. cocaine or even meth either.

I wouldn't even classify it in the same group as alcohol if I wanted to classify drugs by their potential danger.

Just curious, but doesn't Alldone have to face punishment from the NFL on at least 2 charges? I believe he has to go through the court process 1st then once the courts rule, then the NFL can levy punishment. Is that correct and if so, punishment probably wont happen until next season?

No one has to face punishment for anything. Obviously thats up to the league. But let me ask you this?

Do you think the commish is going to be more lenient on a guy that got a dui and admitted he had a problem and took six weeks off to go through a treatment program he checked himself into or do you think the commish would be more lenient toward a guy who has been arrested for hit and run, gun charges, and drugs in his past and who was arrested last year for DUI and who then claimed he is the victim of racist cops?

Which one do you think deserves more leniency? Which one do you think the league will be more lenient on?

If it was up to me, I would wait to hear what the final results were in the courts. Personally, I would have little sympathy for a player on his way to work at 7am who passes out at the wheel while obviously very drunk. Knowing that this person has current weapons charges against him makes it worse. Truly, A Smith very easily could have killed an innocent person or family that day.
Bad bad Marshawn as I am not condoning his behavior. Your trying to white wash Aldon's situation as not serious is a shame.

I never said what aldon did was cool, it was fucking stupid. But unlike marshawn lynch who blamed racist cops for his 3rd serious arrest since being in the NFL, Smith admitted he had a problem and got help. You are the one calling him "alldone" and talking about character.

And marshawn lynch not only could have killed an innocent bystander, once he nearly did. When he ran over a lady then fled the scene (most likely drunk) and was arrested. His latest incident last year he was swerving in I-880 in the bay area and then failed a breathalyzer. He owned up to it, but claiming that racist cops were trying to frame him.

So say what you want, but Smith took 6 weeks off to get the help he needed and admitted he had a problem. Lynch on the other hand not only nearly killed a lady, he is now blaming a failed breathalyzer on racism and trying to smear the reputation of two highway patrol to get off of a dui...

I know accountability is something lacking in your ethics, which is probably why you are a seahawk fan.

I'm sure everyone will be very disappointed to hear that Breaker99 has been restricted to the 49ers boards. His days of roaming free terrorizing the countryside have ended.

I'm not sure how to take this. I know I am not going to laugh like he did when I got banned from the SF board.
In a twisted sort of way, he was so easy to spar with, but what tended to drive me a liite crazy was posts like this morning when he basically said Marshawns DUI was so much worse than Aldon's DUI + weapons charges.
No one can fix that kind of stupidity.

Either way, Stupe...best of luck to ya. Looks like you and I are done with this...:fencing:
