Davis will go to baltimore and be a stud, feels inevitable

Well, appears Philadelphia thought Baltimore'd take him too and leapfrogged the Ravens.

Eh fine, Seattle doesn't need him. So far (I get it's only 1 round) we're drafting smart... maybe Carroll has STFU with how to draft talent.
I think davis is going to be a stud and in all likelihood cross will be meh

I think he'll be a great player for sure, we just don't have a need at the position right now...
if we are switching to a 3-4 we absolutely could have used him

High floor , low ceiling but a safe pick. So no eye rolling from draft gurus
i agree with High floor Low ceiling. He is not going to get better than he is now and that's average at best. AT BEST!

Drafting Cross was not smart he wasn't even close to BPA. He was a pick at a need position and a reach.

Huh? We have Woods (I get he's 35) and Ford, and Harris, AND Jefferson. And then LJ Collier as terrible as he's been but maybe there's hope?

Where the F are you going to plug Davis in? I'm not trying to be a dick, but seriously.., where?

I do not see a high ceiling on Cross. He is to slow, that first step of his is like he is stuck in slow motion. You are born with quickness and at that size you can't "Learn" it. He doesn't have it.

He will end up being a average at best Guard or Center conversion. As you can see i have ZERO faith in him.
Respectfully, I disagree. I don't see that he is slow whatsoever, and I don't believe there is any scouting report that would agree with your perspective. The only negatives I see with Charles Cross are that he doesn't have elite size and is a work in progress in his ability to run block.

If you see his first step as being "stuck in slow motion," one of his best traits is that he mirrors pass rushers. Perhaps that's why you feel that way? He has only played tackle in college, so I would find it hard to see him moving to guard or center. He's a natural tackle and would be awful playing guard or center. I can't imagine a guy whose calling card is neutralizing pass rushers who is a work in progress in the run game moving inside.

Really the only knocks I have on Cross are that he played in a spread offense, he's only 6'4 and there isn't much film on him run blocking given the pass happy offense he played in.

We had a HUGE gaping hole at the position... Cross has some shortcomings at run blocking, but I fail to see how this is a reach.
