Well then post the schedules that members must adhere to.

We'll wait...

They will when they are good and ready. Please post where in the contract the BigTen is required to provide 5 months notice.

Stop ad-libbing.

I never said it would. Re-read my comment.

"So why couldn't they allow Fox to make the same agreement with Nebraska, and just split it up among the conference? Even if Nebraska could just get $2 million a game (half of what they are getting now), that could still be $20 million."

Or Nebraska is leading the charge for other Big 10 teams that want to play.

If they can show the Big 10 has contractually ceded it's control OOC, then expect others to follow suit.
.
Nah, Nebraska ain't gonna do shit. If you are so confident, I'm welcome to doing a vcash and/or avatar bet.

STFU, dumb-ass.

You know nothing more than I do at this stage. Which is literally nothing.

I have clearly said let's wait and see what the contracts stipulate.

You've spent your time here ad-libbing a lot of nonsense.

Hey, Nebraska isn't going to play this fall. If they keep dragging the conference down and throwing this tantrum, they may get left out when the GOR expires in 2024. People hold grudges, Nebraska may get no favors in scheduling or appeals from the conference.

They are not leaving and are not getting kicked out before the rights expired. BTW as far as the money, I have a feeling it's not as valuable as it once was before this pandemic. TV ratings will be interesting to look at this fall for however long the season lasts.

So you ignored the:

just split it up among the conference?
in the sentence before that bolded area?

Do the math yourself. 10 games time $2 million equals $20 million dollars. Obviously, they couldn't keep $20 million and split it with the conference.

I'm glad you admitted that you know nothing.

Nebraska will crawl back into the cornfields and do nothing.

So you are saying $20 million divided 14 ways? How in the world would that be worth it?

As opposed to zero dollars from a canceled spring season and the fact that they actually get to play games and give their players media attention? I imagine it would also do wonders for their recruiting. They would get a TON of attention.

That is an incredibly dumb idea.

Why would the NCAA allow a school to play 2 seasons in the same academic year?

Are you moving the goal posts?

Why would the NCAA allow a conference to play a spring season and a fall season in the same year?

See how that stupidity works?

Well it wouldn't be my first dumb idea! :suds:

I don't see why it would be dumb though. Again, I'm more likely to die of COVID than that spring season ever happening.

It's not good for the players that are returning the next season, just about every projected NFL draft pick in the top 3-4 rounds are likely to opt out, and without the ACC/SEC/B12, who is going to care about the season?

If I'm Nebraska, I take the publicity with a small paycheck to cover my expenses and play in the fall. The B12 would likely love to add them to their schedule.

Please provide a link showing where in the contract the BigTen is required to give 5+ months notice for a football schedule.

Provide a link where it shows they don't have to.

The conference only amended schedule was merely voluntarily agreed to by all the members.

Don't confuse voluntarily playing along with amended schedules for the good of the conference (which Nebraska and all teams did) with "You will not play football against anyone anywhere".

I'll just quote the Big Ten commish, who is the authority on such things.

And the commish did not cite a legal statute did he?

Until legal authority has been cited, all you've got right now is a dick measuring contest.

In the mean time you're doing a lot of ad-libbing.

There is nothing to say the season isn't 'postponed' permanently.

The Big 10 is also contractually obligated to provide it's members a football schedule to play.

Where is it?

Contracts work two ways. That is their entire purpose.

It's like many of you have never entered into a contract.
.
It’s worse than that because many of these idiots just assume what contracts have in them when they have zero clue.
