Let's say that Les Miles does in fact head off to coach his Alma Mater.

Who do you think fills the HC position at LSU?

Kinda weird that LSU is still considered a stepping stone program after all of the success they have had since 2003? Miles will fail miserably at UM if he leaves LSU. He won't have the luxury of in state talent to recruit, the way he does in LA.

I don't consider LSU a stepping stone for most coaches. The Les Miles/Michigan thing is kind of special. Saban left to go to the NFL, so....

I think Les would fail at Michigan as well....

If I was calling the shots at LSU I'd go straight for Mike Gundy at Okie Jr. Hell of a coach. lots of potential and would tear the SEC a new ass with his style of play.

Im calling it Miles accepts the job at Michigan but misses hit flight there because of his poor "Time management skills". So he stays Stuck at LSU and they continue to get raped by Saban every year.

I think LSU wants to have a local coach the team. A defensive coach to continue the tradition of power football. Also a guy that can recruit. This guy comes with the added benefit of speaking Cajunese

Ed Oregeron.

Would Gundy's ego allow him to follow Miles again?
