It's the most credentialed reporter to chime in on the subject and he's offered the most measured and ambiguous reporting on it. WWE could be playing a game of chicken on a Saudi sale to drive up the price to an American company? They could be waiting on Wall Street red tape. I definitely think there's smoke here but we'll see

Someone inside WWE could overhear that Saudi Arabia bid X amount of money and they were the front runner and took that mean it’s already done and ran to tell her source who, without verifying it with another source, just posted it because he wanted to be first. That happens on pretty much every story.

My assumption though is the Saudi’s are being floated out so NBC Universal has to make an idiotic bid for them. Had they not scrapped the WWE Network then I could see the Saudi’s being the best option if the Saudi’s buy them then where will Raw and Smackdown go.

My conspiracy is that the Saudi’s are so “toxic” that the shareholders will find it a relief only to deal with Vince’s stuff.

I think that essentially would be the deal isn’t it? Everything I’ve read basically says it would be the exact same except instead of shareholders, that money will be from the Saudi’s.
