Saric vs. Tatum

Pick which option best describes your feelings about Dario Saric and Jayson Tatum.

I said they are about even now, but Tatum will be better long term.

Possibly I am underselling Saric's future potential to improve. I know he is very young also. I just feel like Tatum is going to be a really good 3 and D wing. Like a Klay Thompson level player. His skill sets are different, but I think he can be that good.

Saric I doubt ever reaches all star level, especially if he stays in Philly as a 3rd or 4th option.

I give the edge to Tatum as well. More athleticism usually means a better player in the long run.

However if Saric can continue to improve his 3 point shooting that could change. A 6'10" guy who can shoot 40+% from the arc is pretty rare.

His potential is definitely limited alongside Simmons. I doubt he will stay in Philly his entire career...but maybe. You never know.

I would also take Tatum right now, fwiw... more versatile by a long shot ftw... but that's at least an arguable point.

BTW, looking back 4 years ago at that 2014 draft, there is maybe only 3 or 4 players anyone would take above Saric, and he is still just 24, not in his prime yet.
