It sucks that Mourning was Miami's trophy presenter. He quit on the Nets, forced a trade to Miami, then would suddenly play every game for the Heat and flex after every blocked shot.

The Nets could have used him in 2003-2004, having gone to two straight conference finals.

So this would mean that the six game winners were not at the buzzer or not when they were trailing (tie game).

The stats are cool, but they’re too often “the first time“ that I feel like it is either very cherry picked, inaccurate, a troll job for gullible people, etc.

A more useful stat would be to try and find this.

Spoiler: This is the real good stat you should look up

1) Buzzer beating assisters in the playoffs.

2) Those assisters that were in an elimination or clinching game. No need to segregate by whether they were trailing at the time.

3) Buzzer beating defensive stops in which the opposing team did not get a field goal or FT attempt.
