Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns

The most likely scenario is Phoenix in 5.

But, the Nuggets have the best player in the series; he's efficient; and he rebounds.

The Suns offense was not as smooth as I expected in the first round, but maybe they can play better.

I don't like Jamal Murray's streakiness, but he's had enough 40 point games in the playoffs in his career, to warrant that he'll probably have another one.

I'm probably wrong on the winner, but I'll take Denver in 7. Denver rarely has short series.

Don’t feel bad for Chris Paul for his annual playoff injury. I know Stock was considered dirty as was Malone but this is nonsense, too:

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Anthony Davis is inconsistent. He can be a MVP candidate and Defensive Player Of The Year when healthy, but he's rarely shown that, and doesn't seem that consistent.

Golden State does have a problem with turnovers and bench play, but maybe that won't impede them.

Lastly, Golden State has a penchant for facing injured teams, so that does not bode well for the Lakers health.

I can't believe there's already been 16 series since 2021 Mavs vs. Clippers in which the road team won game 1. That 2021 series was the last time the road team also won game 2.

Since then, 16 straight times, the road team would win game 1 and lose game 2.

Also, chronologically, one day before Clippers vs. Mavs, Portland would lose game 2 after winning game 1 at Denver.

So it's 16 of 17.


Look at this list. It looks like there's a lot of series the past 3 years, where the road team wins game 1.
