We won tonight with the first five in the lineup doing what they're supposed to do. But the game showed how important it is for the sixth man, Brown (0 for 4), to get up to speed. In fact, when Asche returns, I would move him into Brown's slot. In order to get a win streak going, at least one of the two, Brown and Ashe, must get hot so we don't have to rely on the first five to do all the work.

He seems like he's lost at the plate and has an inconsistent batting stance. It seemed like this month he was starting to hit. I'll give him another month. Meanwhile Asche will return and hopefully get in a good hitting routine.
