I'm not assuming anything. It is a 6 week injury and the game he is scheduled for is 8 weeks away. He literally has a 2 week grace period if things aren't perfect

Sorry that I won't assume he is going to miss 9+ weeks for a 6 week injury lol
ok. What ligament did he injure exactly? Maybe that will clear things up.

Congratulations go out to June. Her Bengals won't get swept a fourth straight. Unless they are stupid, which they are, but...

I picked the Saints.
Drew brees & his accuracy is the Saints passing game. he can make just about any undrafted FA catch the ball.
Now defenses will double Thomas & stack the run & make Bridgewater beat him. no one ever says they are gonna make Brees beat them.

Steelers I dont think make any changes to the dynamic of their offense. I dont think Mason will carry defenders until he throws the ball like Ben, but if he can play like he did in taking over. I think the injuries damages the Saints more.

If they both play as decent back ups.

I think Drew would have played better than Ben so the bigger drop off in the position would go to the Saints.

People are basically judging Teddy because he was thrown in the game with basically no practice reps with the 1's on the road against one of the best teams in football lmao.

You guys can't possibly be this silly.

Damn near every backup will fail in that situation.
you mean like the Steelers back up who came into the exact same scenario & played well?

Simple question (and I apologize if this has already be asked) but

Which team is more "screwed" with their QB going down?

Steelers or Saints?

Steelers were screwed before losing Big Ben. Now it just gives Pitt an excuse.

Reality is — when they got nothing for AB and Bell, they screwed themselves.

Steelers were on the road?

News to me.

Players perform better at home than they do on the road. This isn't a secret.

Well they did have Conner so slight trade off there but very true

I went with the Steelers because I think they had a chance with a healthy Ben to turn things around and have a chance at a play-off spot. I think the Saints are still heavy favorites to win the NFCS even with Brees being out because I think Bridgewater can be good enough. I also look at this as a blessing in disguise. 6 weeks off for Brees means he will be fresh at the end of the season. At 40, that may be what he needs. Lots of us were skeptical at the way he played down the stretch last season.

Ligament Damage is all I can find
Hmm. I mean there’s 120+ ligaments in the hand. We don’t even know which one it is, but we’re POSITIVE it’s 6 weeks.

It is likely the UCL. Which can be 4-12 weeks. 6 is the throw out term. Some protocols don’t even let you remove the splint for 6 weeks. What if it’s single sutured? Double sutured? Taped? Partial tear? Fully off the bone? 6-8 weeks period. No other factors could come into play.

Easy now don't get all testy with me mister... I'm not saying he will be back sooner than people are saying :dhd::dhd:.

Wonder if we will truly ever know what his injury is

I’m just pointing out in general , not to anyone in particular. There’s factors at play, and individual variations.

Heck lucks calf was nothing,

Cams shoulder was nothing

I can go on.

Steelers are more screwed because at least Brees looked to return.

I just hope Dallas takes advantage of Brees being on the shelf.

Done at what?

You guys do realize Teddy basically need to go 2-4 in the 6 games right?

You are assuming Bridgewater will be the QB he was for ONE season and remember during that one season he only threw 14 TD passes.
And lets go hypothetical that Brees is back week 10 (bye week 9) for the Falcons.
If he beats the Jag's and Cards they will be 3 - 5 then yes Brees can get them back into the playoffs but that is if and only if he returns after 6 weeks.

Not as sold on Bridgewater being as good as others think he is, yes it will be great if he is but still not sold.
