So the pressure's off for the regular season now. Hopefully it allows the team to experiment with their lines to fix the chemistry. The only constant that I'd keep is 12-71-18.

That was a nice ride.. got the Pens in a comfortable spot right now...

But tow things I noticed:
1). Neal better grow up
2.) I have been saying this FOR YEARS (once again I found myself on an island, however this year it seems other folks are paying me a visit) the Pens home crowds are the awful. Plain and simple. I think I heard my mom fart thru the TV broadcast and she lives 35 miles from the arena. Yeah I know the Pens lost, but seriously, you leave, no ovaition for the 15 games they just put together? I thought I finished about the horrible crowds in PGh years ago, but guess not... I was spoiled... 80s and early 90s of cheap seats and drunken fans paved the way for some great atomspheres... I go to the staple center now and that is more lively than PGH arenas... I am thankful folk sin PGH show up at least now... they just have to start particapting now.

It's because all the tickets are bought up by companies and executives, leaving no seats for the blue collar workers who are the most passionate fans. Especially close to the ice. The fans who actually know what's up simply cannot afford the tickets.

Posted on the Pens board as well... but can someone confirm my math...

If the Pens beat Rangers in this back to back, they clinch a playoff spot (assuming Chicago is also closing in)... just seems to early...

True, huh... a bummer... rossi wrote there was a standing ovation... perhaps there was during a break... after the kiss cam and before the t-shirt bullets.

They gave Orpik a standing O last night for becoming the longest tenured Penguin on D. But, everyone is right. Suits get the good seats and sit on their hands. It's been better lately though. Example: I have family from Indiana, uncle went to Duquesne for Law School and has some connections. They went to Pittsburgh over Easter (even I didn't go home for Easter) because they got 4 free tix to the Pens/Isles game, a show at Benedum, and Green Day's concert. Suits.
