True, but the committee chose Bama and tOSU when they didn't play in their CCG so TCU should have been in. TCU wound up stomping ISU 56-0 as well and could have dropped 80 had Patterson not bench everybody going in into the 4th quarter. Then TCU went out and destroyed Ole Miss in their bowl game.

I don't think so. I think the committee has made it clear they prefer their picks must have strong alumni and fan bases that travel and will sell a fuck ton of tickets and hotel rooms, hence the reason I firmly believe schools like TCU and Baylor will never have a shot at the playoffs.

Washington got in over PSU in 16, and PSU is known for traveling well. It wasn’t like Washington fans had a mass invasion of Atlanta.

TCU was a good team in 14, but tOSU had them on pretty much every metric. Same with the other 3 in the CFP.

Also, I'm in agreement with Saban. What the fuck is the playoff committee's criteria? TCU was left out of the '14 playoff b/c the Big 12 was told they needed a CCG. Bama, tOSU and ND have proven how worthless CCG's are after receiving a playoff spot when neither team won their division and played for the CCG. So yeah, I agree with what Saban is saying here.....

And I'd never thought about the inequity in CCGs. Clem playing Pitt and tOSU playing Northwestern wasn't quite as difficult as Bama playing Georgia.

Clemson and O31O State played the second best team in their conference in the regular season so it's a wash.
