He beat Cutler in Chicago in his first year with great numbers too.

So by that rationale, all players are not as good as people might think because of parity? I guess there is no such thing as great players because the NFL is a watered down league.
FYI - With the exception of the officials, the NFL is exceptional and puts a great product on the field almost every Sunday.
Sorry man, but that is a ridiculous take.
its not remotely ridiculous by any stretch of the imagination. Its a logical fact.
Parity does not mean everything is stronger, it means everything is weaker.
the players as individuals are very talented but none has a true cohesive long term team anymore/as often.
Starting younger players earlier more often because free agents bounce around means you are not getting a tight team/cohesive unit working together and being familiar with the team and the gameplan as often as before.
in the earlier years the team that won a championship or even got there usually had both an offense and defense ranked near the top.
now with parity every team ,even the good ones, have one or more incredibly glaring weakness but.
no one is consistent anymore . one week the team looks like world beaters and the next looks like a dumpster fire. its because free agency weakens a teams cohesive constancy. Parity doesn't make everyone stronger, it makes everyone weaker.
I like football no matter what but the fact is for being the ultimate team game it is now a watered down product.
no one is/I'm not bashing Wilson and Seattle ...they are good and did what they needed to do to win it all and that's never a bad thing. They were the best this year and got the trophy.
but they aren't as good as you want to believe.
to be a champion or get close to being one, the teams that were good in the past had to be near the top in both offense and defense. Now, especially the last few super bowls that's not entirely true. Before, you had to be consistent from top to bottom. Now , its just a crap shoot that this particular week my horses were better than your horses.
none of this means I'm trolling or hate Wilson. If he proves to be great over time that's a good thing and I enjoy watching it.
He beat Cutler in Chicago in his first year with great numbers too.
oh get over yourself, its not Wilson is your brother or something.
you don't like my opinion because your favorite team won is just tough crap. It doesn't matter if Wilson gets better or not. All I'm saying is he may never win another Super Bowl again and that is very ,very possible
Sure, you have been so correct in predicting our failures!![]()
I don't want to crown RW with anymore than what he's earned...he's a SB champion and he played damn well in the game...congrats.
The book is unfinished...we'll see what he goes on to do from here.
I expect Wilson to have a very Brady like career. When Brady first started, he didn't have to do it all, and then the team changed, and Brady did more and proved his star power. Wilson will do the same thing. I can't wait to see it. Wilson will be putting up dominant numbers for a long time.
ok..he got one in his second year ....may never get there again..right now he is up there with Trent Dilfer until further notice
A Brady-like career?
A career that comes along once in a lifetime and Russell Wilson is the pick? Let him win another 2 SB's MVP and then open the discussion until then he just won a SB.

Brady is the second best quarterback of his generation. That's hardly once in a lifetime.
