All Ruff said was that the Flyers are now complaining about the officiating and saying the refs are out to get them, and that the Sabres are getting away with murder.

Is he wrong? Because it looks like to me that is what some of the players on the Flyers are saying.

What else do you want a head coach to say when his team is being called out and reporters are asking questions?

Not saying he is wrong, but the right thing to do, if he truly believes himself, is to keep quite and let the other team look like a bunch of babies. Ruff is afraid here that the refs will be looking to give a few extra penalties out to the sabres after the bs 5 minute call.

The Flyers went 1 for 10 on the powerplay in game 1. Sorry, but they had plenty of opportunities to win. They couldn't get it done.

Game 5 should be fun. Hopefully both teams will put a few more pucks in the net.

That's hard to do when your team is being called out and the reporters are all asking you about it. If Ruff says nothing, then people would call him a pussy for not standing up for his team. If the roles were reversed you know damn well that Laviolette would be saying the same thing.

IMO he is doing exactly what any head coach would do or say in this situation. I have yet to see Ruff or any player on the Sabres so far this series say that the refs are out to get them or that the Flyers are getting away with murder. The calls have been horrible for both teams this series.

I know the Flyers are frustrated, but so are the Sabres, and the comments from Richards and Briere come off as whining is all. C'mon now, it's not like this is the first time that Richards complained about the refs and how he's getting picked on.

I'm just looking forward to an interesting game 5 on Friday.

Looks like good ole fashioned gamesmanship to me...I think Lindy could have handled it differently and maybe had a good chuckle about it, but that's not really his style. It gives us something to chat about on a off-day though, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Good! The refs need to be called out for any bad calls or bullshit that is going on DURING the game. It's what I would want a head coach to do instead of sitting on his hands and then bitching about it after the fact.

After the game he was asked about that, and I think he just said that he simply closed the door lol. If that's true then I hate to see how many car and house doors he goes through in a year.

And who in the NHL isn't a whiner? If you go by what fans say, then everyone in the NHL is a whiner and a diver who's overrated.

Ruff isn't the longest tenured coach in the NHL because of his good looks ya know. I'm glad to have a coach that actually shows some emotion and doesn't take any BS. If that's conisidered being a whiner, then at least we have one of the best in the League behind our bench.

In his defense the 1 key is right next to the 2 key. Just like I hit the 4 key instead of the 3 key in the GNT yesterday and got the typo police on the scene right away.
