yea but did CY actually say I dont want to play for us at that interview or any pre-draft process?
He told craig Hoffman this per Craig Hoffman himself.

I heard the interview myself. Hoffman could be lying but I doubt it.

I don't think Chase not wanting to be here means they should not have drafted him. Pretty sure MIles Garrett didn't have Cleveland on the top of his wish list. Plenty of players get drafted by teams they don't want to play for, that does not mean they won't perform.

In Chase's case like Lavar and RGIII he had an inflated opinion of himself. Not sure he didn't put it the work but he just didn't seem to get the edge like he did in college. I would bet every team had him in their top 2-3 on their board. I will always believe he was the right pick at the time regardless of the QB situation,

Dad's comparison to Clowney is a pretty good one. Like Clowney he will probably play in the league for a 10-12 years and bounce from team to team, Most teams had Clowney high too, same with Courtney Brown and a whole list of busts at the top of the draft. Every team misses, to expect them to get it right every time is just never going to happen and is a ridiculous bar. Misses are common, it's the nature of the beast and why sports is so much fun because we really don't know what's going to happen

He’s the worst part of the niners line. His playing time has went down since signing with them. I still believe what they traded for him was good value for them though

I think most of us were against the change back to wentz..except one poster here...
I have to man up and admit, I wanted to go back to Wentz. Heinicke hadn't won a game in a calendar month. Ron did lose the team by doing that.

Never wanted wentz on the team and hated the trade.

I didn't want to see him back but it's in the past.

I still don't get why and how Rivera made that trade.

The world may never know...lol

I never wanted Wentz either. I hated the trade. Keim was on Sheehan's podcast and dropped a little nugget. Said once the Russell Wilson trade fell through, Dan pressured Ron to close the Wentz deal.

Didn't say the Wentz deal was Dan's idea, just said Dan pressured Ron to finish it once it became clear Russ wasn't going to happen.

Not sure I am buying that.

Again, snyder is always the boogie man when something goes south.

Rivera went to meet with Joe Gibbs and apparently that is when Gibbs said "we got our guy".

Trading for Wentz wasn't the worst sin...it was bidding against ourselves and throwing in a stupid 3rd round pick that was bad.

The fact that wentz would have been on his 3rd team in 3 years should have been a red flag to Gibbs and Rivera especially.

Who knows what really happened. I know Rivera flew off the handle when asked about it.

Keim is very very measured. He doesn't say things like that over the air unless he knows. We did bid against ourselves which makes me think Dan rushing the process is why we didn’t wait for him to get released. Spilled milk at this point.

100% a Dan deal. Dan wanted what he wanted and would always over pay in salary or trade capital to make sure he got it.

Dan WAS the boogie man. Amazing how fast some people forget.

So how is one to know what was a rivera mistake and what was a snyder mistake?

Was young a Rivera or snyder mistake?
Was Jamin davis a Rivera or snyder mistake?
Going back to wentz over Falco...Rivera or synder?

I apparently don't know and need guidance.

What about Rivera starting gates over Larsen? Is that a Rivera or harris mistake?

Riveras exit interview should be good. I never really made any mistakes..I simply did what the owner told me...unless it was a good idea..it was my idea.
