Nice to see former Medicine Hat Tiger Linden Vey on the AHL All-Star team, he had a cup of coffee with the Kings earlier this year and played quite well in my opinion (that's a tough lineup to crack). Maybe the Kings would be willing to part with him at the trade deadline in order to bolster their lineup for another run at the Cup?

Actually, the Kings should dump a few of their current 3rd/4th line players for Linden Vey and Tanner Pearson to play full time - I wrote this blog last night(http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/...kings-need-start-evolving-depth-forwards.html) about how the Kings need to start evolving with their 3rd and 4th lines - I'd rather them not trade a guy like him, they should be using him

AHL All-Star Team to Face Farjestad BK on Feb 12th Announced

Of the 20 players named to the AHL All-Star team, 19 have National Hockey League experience, including 14 who have played in the NHL this season. Eight All-Stars are former first- or second-round draft picks in the NHL, and 14 will be participating in the event for the first time.

Jason Jaffray of the St. John’s IceCaps has been named the captain of the 2014 AHL All-Star squad. Each year, captains for the American Hockey League All-Star teams have been selected by the league president in recognition of their outstanding service and leadership to the AHL.

The 2014 AHL All-Star Classic will mark the first time ever that a Swedish Hockey League team has competed in North America.

Surprised Adam Clendening of the Rockford IceHogs didn't make it. 2nd among all AHL dmen in scoring, leads the IceHogs in scoring, very solid 2 way player, I would consider him snubbed. Congrats to everyone who made it tho, great roster.

It's during the Olympic Break so he can go play in that game, just like any current NHLer

But will he? I dunno, I suppose it's a game, so it wouldn't hurt to get some extra work during a break, but I'm not sure I'd go.

Well, why wouldn't he go? Unless he has a nagging injury or has something going on where he can't go, I'd imagine he'd probably go

I was thinking "The Springfield Falcons are like 25-5 this year and only have one player in the ASG?

Then I remembered, most of them are up in the NHL right now.

Thought Tomas Jurco got snubbed, but then I saw when the game would be played. He'll be busy in Sochi with Team Slovakia.

Nice to see Mike Hoffman on the team though!
