@RandyJMiller: Heard interesting trade rumor today: If Stars out of playoff race late, Jagr back to #Flyers. Heard Jagr and Flyers would embrace this.

I'd only take him back if his groin is ok. He has to learn that if its pulled you rest it not work out until 3am!!!

@RandyJMiller: I'm going to predict Giroux is named #Flyers captain Tuesday. Heard some things today, and after thinking about it, it all makes sense.

I think he can towards the end at playoff time Jagr was nothing but a liability to our team. It looked like he was skating under water.

Co-signed. He was garbage the whole last 10% of the season.

Yeah, he's going to Phantoms. Makes sense as opposed to carrying 8 d-men.

looks like there's no cap hit for lilja now.. somethin to do with being under 1 mil i guess.. thats neat. he's available to be recalled too, no recall waivers

seems much easier to store extra depth guys in the minors now.. they have to be cheap though or their cap hit still counts

Does this put us under the 50 contract maximum?

i dont think.. pretty sure waived contracts are still contracts.. it just helps the flyers get under 23 on the active roster.. and lets lilja play in the AHL

i might be pulling stuff outta my ass here, but i'm pretty sure the flyers will open up 2 contract slots after the 6th game of the season.. i'm not real good on the 'slide rule' but i dont think cousins' or laughton's contracts will count towards the 50 once they're returned (or since cousins is staying in) to juniors (if they are)..

pretty sure both cousins and laughton have signed entry level deals, that would count right now, but they slide if they don't play in the NHL this season.. they for sure keep the year on the contract, not 100% if the contract still counts though

Pronger gets moved to LTRafter the season starts which clears up some cap space.

I heard that he's playing well in position good on faceoffs. He may stick for a few games but would surprise me if he stays past 5 game tryout. I think he will b a keeper in the long run.
