You should, as the OP was retarded and the author has been shut down on every point and has yet to make a valid rebuttal. As a Cowboy's fan, I'm more critical of Romo than most, and I find this thread to be fucking sad.

Romo sucks and as long as Romo is QB the Cowboys won't matter. He can't win the big game. Look at his playoff record and how he preforms. Boo Hoo if the Redskins were cheating. I say it is more likely a made up story by a prima dona personally.

John Elway was the guy who couldn't win the "big game" for the first 13 years of his career. But fuck Tony Romo for his 1-3 playoff record(with only one of those losses being truly his fault) and his great regular season winning percentage and QB rating that is good for 4th best of all time

Regular season QB's mean squat. He has led his team out of the first round once. He continually comes up short in the big moment.

Where you even born yet the last time "the big moment" and "the Bengals" were in the same sentence? Romo's team failed him against the Giants and Vikings in the playoffs. The loss against Seattle was his fault, and he destroyed the Eagles. But fans across the league paint him as this big choke artist, when the reality is, you would LOVE to have him as your QB. In fact, he could be the best QB in the history of your franchise if he was on your roster. Hey, we like having one of the best QB's in the history of your franchise as our 2ND STRING QB. But continue hating, enjoy another 4-7 win season.

What do the Bengals have anything to do with Romo? I don't hate Romo. The media even talks about how big of a choke artist he is. It's not just fans. Romo is a great REGULAR season QB. No doubt about it. 1-3 in the playoffs means is what I see when I see him. A guy who fails to carry his team in the playoffs. He can't even sniff Brees, Rodgers, Brady's coat tails.

Fact: Romo lost the game in Seattle

Fact: Crayton's dropped pass on 3rd down lost the game in New York

Fact: The entire team stunk against the Vikings

Fact: Romo has a career rating of over 100 in the 4th quarter

Fact: Take away Drew Brees's SB year and he's 1-3 in the playoffs

Fact: Until last year, Rodgers had never won a playoff game

Fact: The media has never put Romo in the same league as Brady, Manning, Roethlisberger, or even Brees or Rivers, yet he's "overrated" and a "choke artist", and remains the most hated QB in the league, sparking retarded ass threads like this.

Anything else?

Some fair points, but you can't just say, "take away player x's SB year and he sucks. Duh. Take away Roethlisberger's SB years too. Let's take away Montana's championship years and he was terrible. Sorry, Brees proved himself in the playoffs. Rodgers did the same last year. If Romo does something in the playoffs, he's exempt from playoff choke artist references. Until then, he's a playoff turd.

This is true, but people say all the time that he's a born loser and that the Cowboys will never go far into the playoffs with Romo, which is just kind of stupid to say. Hell, I'm a Cowboys fan and I think he make stupid Favre-like throws sometimes, he fumbles too much, he stares down one receiver too much, and for most of his career he hasn't been a leader and has had a cavalier attitude towards some of his fuck-ups. That being said, he's an extremely talented QB and has a play-making ability as good as anyone in the league. He's proving this year that he can be a leader, and is carrying the Cowboys while they're not considered "the more talented team", and have a ton of holes on both sides of the ball. I don't think he's overrated or underrated, I think he's right where he should be. He deserves the media praise he's got in the last two weeks. I think a lot of the hate towards him is misplaced.

Big Ben has won 2 SB's and he's an all time choker in the big game.

Winning the SB or any playoff game takes a team effort. No one player on any team has enough impact to win OR lose any game alone.

Given the fact that all of those guys at one point had the same or worse record as Romo in the playoffs, yet still came up big eventually, I think the point that's being missed is it's probably a bit premature to call him a playoff choke artist or anything for that matter.

You're right. I never called him a choke artist. I said he was overrated. I said he was, up to this point, a playoff turd. He could easily win a Super Bowl and erase that.

I agree with this, i got a little carried away because that guy was acting like Romo was god. So far he has been a choke artist. So far he is vastly overrated. He can easily erase that if he wins some big games and leads his team when it matters.

I don't believe in the "one play" wins or loses a game theory.

There's too much that occurs before (and sometimes after) the play(s) in question that affect the outcome just as much, or more, than a play that everyone focuses on.

The only way a single play affects the outcome is if the game is played perfectly up to that point. That never happens. When you win it's because you played well enough as a team (or maybe the other team played bad enough as a team) and the same goes for when you lose. It's never about 1 person and 1 play. There are 22 guys on the field that affect every play one way or another.

Anyway...back to the Romo bashing....

One play CAN lose a game for you. Perfect example, Favre throwing that INT to Porter in the playoffs that year. He doesn't throw that pass the Vikings win. Romo botching that snap in the playoffs lost that game for them. One play can def lose a game.
