Sportsnet is gonna run that draft simulator HARD for the next 30 days. Probably half their programming every day
TSN 1050 has been doing 10 minute segments on it.

They also announce 3 times a day how many days left until UFA and whether Stamkos has signed an extension yet.

Would I be wrong in stating that Toronto is ahead of Edmonton as far as their rebuild is concerned?

Tough to say. Edmonton has depth up the middle, Toronto has depth on the wings.

Toronto is probably also a lot farther along in terms of bottom six players both active and in the pipeline.

Neither team has the net solved, and while both teams have 1 first pair guy (although Toronto's is much farther along) neither team has much defensively. I'd still give it to Toronto on the blue line.

Key for Edmonton is they have pieces that, in trade, can get them things Toronto has and things Toronto doesn't have whereas Toronto has maybe a piece that can get them something they need (JVR) and a few pieces that can get them more draft picks to develop.

In that regard, Edmonton probably has a slight advantage. Ask me in a year and I'll probably have a different answer.

Good synopsis, although maybe I'll ask you on the evening of April 30th and maybe you'll have a different answer.

On the plus side, John Kelly (Dan Kelly's son) does a fine job on the play-by-play.

I might be alone but im having a hard time watching. Using these homertastic regional tv crews is just garbage

4 playoff games today and only 1 was produced by the rightsholder...?

John Ahlers and Brian Hayward have gone full homer now that the Ducks are losing in game 2.

The fact they're either too cheap (doubtful because they use them all season) or unwilling (more likely since TSN guys are on it) to use NBCSN's feed is pathetic.

What pisses me off is that the first round has actually been quite entertaining thus far and ratings will probably exceed their expectations so they won't make any changes.
