Packers got a lot for a guy who is almost retired. Jets were able to protect themselves from Rodgers not playing and the Jets backsliding into a top pick in next years draft. Its hard to say either team lost the trade.

I do think the Packers got a bit more than I was expecting. AFC is going to be stupid next year.

Happy with terms of deal, figured would only get a 2nd this year... so got a little more than I expected. Also thought any 2024 picks would be tied to Rodgers coming back in 2024... maybe there is some finer print still to come out to that effect? Really surprised Packers would get a 1st or 2nd in 2024 if Rodgers does not return.

The interesting thing I heard on local news here in WI out of Milwaukee is that good old Joe Namath said he had no problem of Rodgers wearing his #12 Jersey and did not want that to prevent him from going to the Jets

But it was said on local news that Rodgers would be wearing #8 which I guess was his college jersey number. So Rodgers will be running around in a #8 with the Jets from what they are saying

The Jets were 7-10 with hot garbage at QB. If they're not competing for the division title it'll be a shock.

More than that, Zach Wilson gets to eat serving after serving of humble pie sitting behind a HOF QB, and if he can figure out how to digest it he might become a decent QB for 2025.
