Maybe a matchup issue ? KC seems to play us tough … Sometimes it’s like that, some teams just matchup despite what their records might be ..

If it was Houston sure I would say match up issue but these last 2 games they went against pitchers with 5+ 6+ era's every team knocks around and solid pitching plus pen keeps them off the board.

Funny how people say anybody can close out games. That isn't true. It takes a special breed to pitch in a high level situations which Sewald could do. He had command and pitch location that made him dominate. Yep he gave up a save or two like most pure closers but he's light years better than what Seattle is putting out now.

Sewald has three straight saves with Arizona without giving up a run. Imagine if we would’ve had that against Baltimore.

He definitely has not been closing material 4 his last 5 games.

No win is bad !! Just glad they didn’t lose because it would have been devastating being up so big then blowing it …

They are playing the worst team and barely keeping up with them. Giving up 3 in the 9th is terrible. It changes nothing that they came away with it in the 10th.

I'd put the odds of post season at less than 10% right now. They have way too many glaring holes.

Didn’t see when Hancock was in, did Servais leave him out there to die like he has done with Miller and Woo or did Hancock just run out of gas? Really was a good win for the Mariners but damn they need to figure out their philosophy on the bullpen. They said after the game they have their analytics has it set up who and when pre game but if shit hasn’t been working for 4 games can we possibly tweak those analytics. Wasn’t all Munoz’ fault but you can’t trust he nor Brash at the moment.

Can’t be that negative on them. It is just them and whoever ends up 3rd in the east (the Rays might pull and Angels)

Matchups can do that though, even though their pitchers aren’t great for whatever reason they’re better against us… I remember Magic Johnson saying that how sometimes teams just cause you problems even if they’re record sucks against everybody else…
