Yea, I was focusing more on why a reason wasn't given with that post. I don't know how he found it, but anyone could have stumbled on it and reported it. One person has already been falsely accused. People need to put their pitchforks down unless they're sure they have the answers.

Not all the recent bans are IP bans because some posters are still able to get on their alt accounts. Someone is still purging without IP bans without many knowing why. You seem to be the one active mod during that period on the board. It's common sense you twat.

Most of the bans are not IP bans to my knowledge. I got to use both of my accounts for a while.

I don’t disagree. Which is why I’m refraining from dragging any posters through the mud. But after spending a decade on the board, I don’t think I’ve seen admin staff interact with SO ever. Then all the sudden half the long-time posters start getting nuked because Greg stumbled on an empty board, then proceeded to go full dipshit on SO? That’s way too convenient.

Just for logic over emotion.

If you received a ban without any message at all. It came from above a mod. Whenever we would ban or blacklist you, it sends you a message letting you know that. No mod has higher authority than that.

Before the board switch over, mods had the ability to track IPs and check for multiple users under that IP (Hawkitt example, or a MB that would make a new handle and head over to start shit). When the boards switched over most of us lost that ability. My understanding is that AR still had that. That still wouldn't give him any power to do anything on it. Or any ability that Oath and Greg (fuck you Greg) wouldn't have had. Because the report comes from the same place.

I get we all want to know what happened and there is no doubt something that caused all this. But until someone can hand me proof, or someone speaks up and says 'I am Sparticus' none of us are going to know for sure.

So I get questioning and getting answers but let's not tie anyone to a pole and start fires until there is justification
