With McGlynn and Gettis gone Ribeye makes the roster with Long as the backup Guards. Chester is the backup Center. The starting 5, Compton, Moses, Long, and Ribeye. That should be the nine.

you want to know how out of touch with NFL I am, it seems odd to only carry 9 OLs. That's not a lot, a couple of injuries and you are trying to play a Guard at Tackle.

which i know is possible, but Guards aren't that known for grace on the outside, could you imagine one trying to block Clowney or Matthews or some of the other speed guys teams have on the outside?

Its the new NFL. The days of carrying 11 O-lineman and only 3 RBs and 5 WRs are out the window. Too many spread sets./ Teams carry more skill positions on both sides of the ball because of the seed of the game, and thus they do have to carry one or two less O-lineman and D-lineman than in the old days. Also the LB position has become more specialized. Rarely do you find a guy who can play all three LB spots.

In other news, the Bucs trade for G Logan Mankins and give up a TE and a 4th rounder next year. Talk about improving your OLine just weeks away from the beginning of the season. Wow!
