He has an arbitration hearing scheduled for Friday, however the latest is that they hope to settle prior to the hearing.

The money defenseman are getting this offseason is very surprising to me. I understand why guys like Suter & Weber are getting big contracts. What I don't understand is why 2nd & 3rd pairing guys are getting 3.5 to 5.5 per year. It's nuts. To put this in perspective the Islanders have three defensman on their roster, Hamonic, MacDonald & Carkner who make a combined $2,925,000.
