Still, I like Green and think he is dismissed way too easily by some people and would love to have him back.
I think this had more to do with the new systems that he was playing in. I say "systems" because Hunter changed systems mid-shift sometimes.
It is a win-win for us. If he signs, we get a potentially great player. If he signs elsewhere, we get a 1st and 3rd and more cap space.
Lack had a great year last year and really, has come out of nowhere.

I don't want draft picks - I want a fucking Cup! The window on this team is either closing or they'll need to transform.
I understand about the systems comment. Good point, BUT I think it's overstated (haven't several teams won a Cup with new coaches in recent years?) and it only takes about 20 games to integrate a playing style. And most importantly, Green had 1 assist in 87 PP minutes? That's pathetic. I could get 1 assist in 87 PP minutes if you put me with Backstrom and OV.
46, how about the Sharks trade you Dan Boyle, Ryane Clowe and a 1st Round pick for the rights to Greene, Troy Brouwer and Jason Chimera?
Ahh.....no

Same! There was a Caps' fan at a game about 3-4 years back ragging on Green every...single...time he touched the puck. I told him he had no idea how important Green was to the team and that he should say something positive instead, "we've chased away enough Hall of Fame defenseman with fan antics in this town." Only time I've ever said something to a fellow Caps' fan at a game. He shut the fuck up about Green the rest of the night.
I just want him to get healthy and play better. To be honest, he's had a lot of bad luck as well - pucks to the face, etc. Hope we sign him b/c I don't think we have a chance at a Cup without a healthy Mike Green.
i would hope he's happy with the organization and is just looking for a healthier raise ... but ... offer sheet ???
$1,110,249 or below - No Compensation
would the canucks match that if it happens?
you have to, right>?
Flames have yet to sign Leland Irving?!? Time for an offer sheet, Jay Feaster.
:phone:
hell probably think about it ... decide against it ... and then eat the offer sheet ... with catsup
That's why I call him Jolly Jay Feaster...
hes a sven"jolly" to all flames fans
