I'm not sure he is going to give Carolina 7M worth of production.

Regardless, their GM sure gets an 'A' for effort this offseason.

So what did we learn today? In Carolina, a short burst of Semin costs you 7 million dollars...

As NostraDarkstone predicted, NostraDarkstone's prediction that Semin would end up in Pittsburgh was incorrect.

:suspicious:

With the Semin signing ($7m)- there are now 47 players (!!!!) paid more than either Sedin (both $6.1m)

I pulled this from Kukla's Korner - Some Wings fans really need to be talked off the ledge.
This post was in response for missing out on Semin (as well as the Wings missing out on other big names this off-season).

7 mil is too high. Also 7 mil was Carolina’s price.

That being said we have to give Holland credit for one thing he has done extremely well ofer the last three years. He has allowed THE DETROIT RED WINGS to turn into the Calgary Flames. Nice job Kenny. Don’t worry in a couple years (maybe next year) you can get a fresh start in Toronto.

The Flyers signed forward Jakub Voracek to a four-year contract Thursday, worth $17 million.

Great deal for the Flyers. I LOVE the way this guy plays hockey - he does a little bit of everything. Congrats, flyboys.

you should see him play though. that dude is ALL over the ice.
148 points last year.

Think how good he'd be if the Canucks would stop playing with only two guys on his line...

I hear that they only give one other guy a letter each game because this guy occupies more captaincy than anyone else.

A lot of people think WPG is the crazy team in the Doan sweepstakes. By "bringing him back to his original team"...except it's not.
