Well. Reality hit Clark today LOL Destroyed completely. Welcome to the playoffs. . If the 3 aint falling, offensively she's pretty useless and one dimensional especially when up against a quality team like Connecticut. A few dimes here and there but thats it. She can pad up some numbers against the bottom feeders but its a different ballgame against the Big dogs like connecticut and Liberty

Usually I think everything you say is fucking dumb. But there's this little voice in the back of my head saying: "Well, maybe our differing political viewpoints just color our perceptions. She really only struggled the first 1/4 of the season and "struggled" is really only applicable to her in comparison to expectations not compared to other players on the back end of the Olympic team

Sorry, missed this when you posted it.

Her percentages (shooting, etc.) were pretty bad. And the first 1/4 of the season was when the Olympic team was finalized.

Maybe. But there wasn't an open tryout and she wasn't playing well enough at the time to justify being selected. As I said, she is now. But at the time, marketing would have been the only justification.

Didn’t the mandatory camp for players happen during the final 4?

Maybe USA basketball revises their policies in the future, but it would have been pretty unfair to put a rookie on the team when she wasn’t able to attend the training camp.

Easy to look back with hindsight and say that she is one of the 10 best players in the world, but building a team to win gold is about more than simply picking the best players.

Would have absolutely caused a stir in the locker room and they didn’t need the risk.

Caitlin Clark will have her opportunities to play for the gold.
