Yep, 2.00 should be the correct decimal value.

Also, straight-up bets shouldn't have the spread value in their name, because then it's unclear whether the bet is intended to be straight-up or against-the-spread.

For example, on the Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers, the two outcomes are currently labeled

"49ers win (-7)"

and

"Cardinals win (+7)"

which makes them look like against-the-spread bets, but the payouts of 1.26 20/77 and 3.95 59/20 suggest that they are intended as straight-up bets. This is confusing and can cause mistakes for both bettors (when staking bets) and the bookie (when settling the bets).

Even more confusing is Tennesse Titans vs Denver Broncos, where one outcome is

"Titans win (-3)"

and the other is

"Broncos win"

Is one bet ATS and the other SU, are both ATS, or are both SU?
Ok, in the process of fixing all of this. Gotta get Harold to delete tomorrow's games.

@HaroldSeattle or @JohnShadows, quick question:

When you guys are adding games, does the vBookie software require you to enter the odds in a specific format?

If so, which format? (American like +100 or -385, decimal like 2.00 or 1.26, OR fractional like 1/1 or 20/77)

Or does the vBookie software let you decide which format you want to enter the odds in?

Like Bold. Except is says "moneyline" instead of American, I think.

Well, the field says "moneyline" because all three formats (American, decimal, and fractional) are different ways to display a moneyline. You boldfaced all three formats, but I assume from the second part of your comment that you only meant to boldface the American part.

Anyway, the reason I was asking was that the fixed O/Us for the afternoon and night games were still a bit strange since they were set at -109 (as can be seen, for instance, here at Dallas Cowboys vs Los Angels Rams - Outcome - Over 51.5 ).

It's not a huge deal, but the standard vig for even odds is -110, not -109. I was asking because I was wondering if it was a conversion issue being caused by rounding errors from entering decimal odds.

However, if you can just directly enter American odds, then a helpful tip is that you should usually enter a multiple of 5 (so in this case, -110, not -109).

I actually went to another site that's running the same Sportsbook, and they were using 109. Will use 110 next time, thanks.

You might have seen "1.909" because that is the decimal odds equivalent to "-110" in American odds. Their closeness can cause a lot of confusion, because those two numbers look really similar and refer to the same value under conversion, but are subtly different because they are under different odds formats.

Yes, there does appear to be a problem with the re-load, probably a setting. I"ve contacted the owner, we'll get this fixed.

Here's a guess at what's wrong, if it helps, to pass along to whoever is doing the fixing: maybe the reload is only triggering when bankroll hits exactly $0.00 instead of what it needs to do, trigger upon bankroll falling below $1.00.

Since the software will not let you bet less than 1 dollar on each bet, bankrolls between $0.00 and $1.00 are of no value and should trigger a reload. But the software might have been coded to trigger on only exactly $0.00, instead of all values less than $1.00.

It may be something like that. But from the research i've done on this version of the software, it may need a cron job with a separate SQL query.

Hey, @JohnShadows just curious.....what's the agenda for CFB Saturday? Are you doing all the top 25 games or just a few games? Curious in case I need to request a game or 2.

Me thinks all top 25’s will be listed. Possibly some additional games. Parlays possibly listed if requested
