No push? He undoubtedly pushed through the line, at least a couple yards.

 Ummmm... No he didn't. The OL was in almost the exact same spot when the ball was blocked as when they lined up. Zero push. The kick was too low.

Dude had already made 3/3 FGs to that point.

Of 34, 36 & 29 yards respectively. Those are extra points. He missed the 43-yarder.

I've watched the replay several times. They were behind the line of scrimmage. 43 yards isn't extremely long but again, it's not a chip shot. It was a good kick that was just barely hit but it was just enough.

OL start the play behind the line of scrimmage when they stand up. The guys blocking got in their stances and didn't move more than about a foot. For the 4th time, the kick was too low.

Actually, it wasn't a good kick. Because it was too low.

0 for 1 field goals over 36 yards.

Whatever. Good kick that was barely tipped by a guy who got too much penetration. Is what it is.

:what: You're the most clueless person I've ever seen talk about field goals. The guy got NO penetration, and the kick was too low. The video is right there for everyone to see; the OL didn't move back from their pass-rush stances.

Kicks like this don't fail because of penetration.

:noidea: Watched the replay, saw penetration. The Eagles players even said that's what they did. Penetrate and jump, which is what they did. Rough spot for a young kicker, but if that kick was 6 inches to the right (something he couldn't know) and the same level, we're talking about Bears vs. Saints. It was a good kick, but a better defensive effort.

Look where #90 Treyvon Hester is and look where the center is. Nobody moved. The guy blocked the kick without even jumping or pushing the OL back. The kick wasn't even close to high enough.

They can now use one of their limited draft picks on a kicker to get a cheap one after they can the current one still having to pay him decent amount of cash.

Does the kicker end up moving to
Miami like Bartman? Then end up being a crazed tranny cop that tries to kill Dan Marino?

I'm wondering if Trubisky made the leap and the Bears are ready to make their run to 3 straight Super Bowl titles....

Trubisky looks like he's worth the trade up to be sure.
Shaheen hasn't done much, but he is a TE and TE is hard to adapt. I think he will be solid next year.
Eddie Jackson - Huge day today. Started the year as starting FS and has looked very solid next to Amos. He looked like a big part of this defense if he can stay healthy.
Cohen - a legit weapon that has been a big part of the running offense. Looks a lot like Darren spriles.

Other than the trade, each of thise picks were bashed and everyone was giving the bears shitty grades for the draft. Without really looking at other teams drafts, I think I would put my money on that being a top 5 haul from this draft so far. If Shaheen pans out and Trubisky continues a logical growth for his skill set, watch out. This could be the draft that makes the bears a perennial contender and everyone has been wrong about it.

Thank goodness you got Eddie Jackson in that draft, otherwise you'd have real issues?

He’ll play like Brett FN Favre against the skins this week. Book it
