That cost the winning run, but 6 LOB and 0-4 RISP is the same old glaring problem they can't solve this year.

Suarez and Teo were close to that and banished for it. Hard to see that signed again as long as DIPoto is still around.

Easier to banish them with a lineup top to bottom riddled with K's. You're probably right it'll be some time before they sign a power bat.

But advanced metrics say RBI are irrelevant. If you go 1-4 with a solo home run, 3 K's and 7 LOB you had a positive game supposedly.

And that's the problem with the swing away analytics that we all hate. Very frustrating to watch and usually doesn't end well unless you have a team that mashes like the Dodgers,

They took Crawford off the scrape heap from Philly which is fine but outside of 1yr he sucked and quite honestly I'd be fine if he got moved in the offseason.

Agreed they should sign but NW's correct they probably won't. I'll give it a .00001% chance the FO spends money in the offseason.

The whole analytical crap is weird with the Mariners. They all say for the past 4 years the Mariners have been a top 12 offense. No idea exactly what all goes into the numbers but a 12 run game, followed by 2 shut outs somehow is good because they got 4 runs a game. Exit velo and hard hit rate and useless if they are outs. I know those people hate bunting but putting the ball in play is always good. For some reason in their math equation they don’t type in a possibility of an error. With at least the Mariners, hating giving up a run is terrible but LOB is a sign of production.
