The Bears are 27-13 the last three years in the games Cutler starts.

It was a loss to a playoff caliber team on the road with the Bengals practically giving the game away..

I thought it was a 9 or 10 win team before the game, and that still seems about right

I'm not disappointed that they lost. I thought it was a tough spot to play for week 1. I'm upset that they were so sloppy and they were much more undisciplined that last season's club.

It's a projected loss that was given away when the game was all but locked down. Thus, a 2 game swing. This will certainly affect the playoff outlook. Undoubtedly so. This may be THE game that keeps this team out.

Same could have been said about losing to Cleveland, Miami, or Dallas last year.

The division is bad..... Cleveland won't win 6 games and Pittsburgh might be done. 10-6 will win the division by at least a game.

With the possible exception of his first year or two (when the o-line and d carried him), Ben has made a career doing more with less. Unfortunately the talent erosion on that team is undeniable. And losing the starting center makes it even tougher.

But yes, in general, most 'franchise' quarterbacks win football games..... For most of the franchise guys, you'll only find one or two seasons in a 10+ year career where they fail to reach .500.

I was referring to his offense. No one doubts the greatness of their D.

Of course that D didn't help Maddox, Stewart or the other guys that preceded Ben.
