For some reason people think dumping past their prime veterans is shedding talent.. They cut cook who had very few suitors and everyone here is OMG.

Vikings will win fewer games this year but I don't see them bottoming out. Flores is huge upgrade at DC, we have some good offensive playmakers.

OL is concern and defense isn't going to be fixed , but I suspect it'll out perform last year's defense. I'm worried about stopping run though.

Vikings should be 9-8 or 10-7. If cousins gets hurt though, we're in trouble

They almost have to lose more games this year. They had a lot of breaks last year winning that much with a negative point differential.

I'm not sold on Mattison being the guy, but they have some options if he isn't.

Oh I agree. I'm not saying Vikings are SB contenders, but they're not from first to worst because they got rid of Dalvin Cook.

I think mattison/Chandler combo will be fine.

AFC Standings.PNG NFC Standings.PNG

AfC Wild Card Round
#4 Jags beat the #5 Jets
#3 Chiefs beat the #6 Chargers
#2 Bengals beat the #7 Broncos
No upsets

NFC Wild Card Round
#5 Cowboys beat the #4 Saints
#3 Lions beat the #6 Vikings
#2 Eagles beat the #7 Giants

AFC Divisional Round (really could go any direction)
#3 Chiefs beat the #2 Bengals in amazing game
#1 Bills beat the #4 Jags

NFC Divisional Round
#2 Eagles beat the #3 Lions in maybe the most entertaining game of the playoffs.
#1 Niners beat the #5 Cowboys in a defensive battle.

AFC/NFC Championship games
#1 Bills defeat the #3 Chiefs (they finally get a turn)
#1 Niners beat the #2 Eagles
but could easily be any combo of these four teams in the Superbowl

Superbowl
Bills vs. Niners

Could the Bills finally put one in their case?
or
Will the Niners add one to their collection?

I'm guessing without Chris Jones and if Kelce is less than 100% then the Chiefs are much closer to the 5th or 6th best team in the AFC than the favorite.

I think the Lions are a dark horse team in the NFC behind Philly, Dallas and SF. Maybe not a bonafide Super Bowl contender, but they could take a playoff game for sure.

Gotta say, right now this one's looking pretty decent.
As far as Baltimore, I will believe it when I see it for Lamar in the playoffs. Even in his MVP year when they got a bye they got clobbered by a team that loves to run the ball and keyed in on keeping Lamar inside the pocket and constant pressure. Still have to force him to throw. I have not seen him beat a team in the playoffs with his arm yet. I think Flowers really is a great fit in that offense though.

San Fran definitely has a great chance in the NFC. I would love to see them face the Rams in the playoffs.

I was basing my take on the fact that this was predicted back in September. Pretty impressive in my book. However, I'm certainly not ruling out your Browns. We all know what a stupid good defense they have. But Flacco has also managed to take the offense to a new level, and right now I'd have the Browns ranked right up there with Miami as the Ravens key rival to reach the SB. I suppose we can never rule out KC, but they simply have not looked like their usual SB selves for much of this back half of the season.
