ok dean you asked and now you get

game one pitt defense did their job by giving up 38 points 437 total yds and 4.9 yds per carry

game 2 dallas defense improved by giving up 380 yds of offense KC had game ending pick trying to overcome a crap defense

game 3 giants , KC and the offense overcame 28 1st downs allowed and 457 yds allowed to get the win

game 4 KC and the offense overcame 26 1st downs and 380 yds of offense allowed

ravens game 16-10 defense had a good game gave up only 306 yds

eagles game defense did well vs a rookie with 6 career starts

lions debacle blew lead with 90 seconds to go , gave up 344yds and lions held the ball for 34.59 minutes since our defense couldnt stop them

bengals defense gave up a whopping 35 1st downs and allowed 415 yds KC and the offense put up 546 yds

vikings gave up 331 yds however smith bailed them out good game defense

packers defense gave up 424 yds KC and the offense put up 515 yds

cowboys gave up 353 yds got 0 TO's KC and the offense put up 505 yds with 0 TO,s

cards game gave up 369 yds got 0 TO,s AZ 33.46 time of possession

eagles game defense gave up 383 yds to a rookie qb offense overcame it

panthers game defense gave up 438 yds 22 1st downs 34.39 time of possession

bears games defense gave up 458 yds and 31 1st downs to matt freaking barkley offense overcame it , defense got 5 to's

giants game gave up 332 total yds and allowed giants to possess the ball for 35 .52 minutes

so i see a pattern of KC and the offense had to be perfect to overcome a crappy defense more often then crappy defense providing a win

the ravens , and vikings game , eagles game one and the last giants game where you can make a case that the defense did its job . more often then not a one dimensional redskins offense had to overcome the crap our defense put on the field
Holy crap. I forgot how bad they actually were. It was amazing we had 8 wins with that kind of defense.

jy if Cravens doesn't make that play we go 0-3. Simple as that
Or, another way to put it, if KC doesn't throw for over 300 yds, we lose that game.

Now, don't both of those statements sound stupid? Because one play, or player, does not win or lose the game.

To me he still has to prove himself to be the highest paid qb in the league. I like him as a QB but he still needs a lot of work. Hopefully he steps up this year. Again, you look at the stats when talking about the defense but I just told you how they bailed this team out in 5 out of our 8 wins.
So it is money. "the highest paid QB in the league". Well, we dont know if that is what he will be because the FO won't even make him a fair deal that isn't the highest paid.

Not to give Cravens credit for that win is insane.

Of course the defense was a problem last year. Not disputing that. but when they close out games you have to give credit.

And they have gotten credit, for doing their job.

The thing is, you are sitting here debating that we should play a wait and see game on a damn good QB, because he wasnt good enough in ALL cases to cover for a historically BAD defense. You are giving the defense credit for on occasion not being horrid, and mearly being able to actually do their jobs at an acceptable level. But think we should continue to basically try and discard one of the key factors in being able to over come said named horrid defense enough to actually make them look OK from time to time.

Not to give cousins credit for that win is insane.

Once again, both statements are inane.

No they are not. Does this mean you don't give Butler credit for winning the Super bowl for the Patriots against the Seahawks? lol

Right... lets wait until Kirk proves himself elite.

Then see if we can afford him.

If not, then we will simply call him a greedy asshole and justify trading up for an "elite" rookie.

Nope, I don't. He had a key play, but what about the DE that pressured Wilson into rushing the throw? Does he get credit for a game winning play?

OMG!!! Are you serious!!! Butler made arguably the biggest play in Super bowl history. You are just nuts.

Your speculating that he walks. you don't know that.
Neither do you, but it seems acceptable to you that you can speculate that Dan can pay him whatever it takes to keep him if he plays well again. Why can you do it and not the rest of us?

You are not the brightest bulb in the bunch, huh? You completely missed the point of my post. Of course its the same thing that Sportster, Shark, and Dad have been trying to tell you for weeks now. Football is a team game. No one play, or player, wins or loses a game. The results are a culmination of 60 minutes and over 100 plays. There may be key plays, but no single definitive play has ever won a game.

I can imagine you are not. That requires actually understanding what is really happening and seeing the bigger picture.

That play won the game. You are just dumb. It could of been the greatest play in Super bowl history but you classify it as a "key play". lol Are you serious?? Game winning plays. please look that up. You don't understand that concept.
