Yeah, well, I figured there'd be an audience here that would fully understand what I'm going thru. :)

You're still in pretty good shape for one of the wild cards....once you're in, anything can happen....

Leake complete game four hitter, Reds knock RA Dickey around for 11 hits, including homers by Bruce, Rolen, and Frazier.....wow, I would have bet good money Dickey would have tied Bruce up in knots with that knuckler......

If I am not mistaken, the Reds hit Dickey very well in their first meeting in NY. Only a blown hold/save kept Dickey from receiving the loss in that game.

It truly is amazing that this team is doing what it is doing without Joey Votto. Wow. If they can continue to just approach each AB like this when he returns, this team may average 6 runs a game.

Not to mention, the pitching has been very good this year. Even though some have struggled a bit lately (and that seems to be the case around the league at the moment) they have, overall, all done very very well.

Leake has very little success against good hitting teams. The Phillies are getting healthy, and still have many offensive weapons. I agree that they did well with the bats against Halladay, and I believe they'll get back on track tonight against Cliff Lee, who has yielded 11 home runs in his last five starts. The Reds offense is set up well to go against lefties right now, with only one left handed hitter (Bruce) in the lineup. Hopefully Bailey can get back on track tonight. The pitching coach (Price) said he discovered a mechanical flaw in Bailey that he believes they have worked out. He needs to get going to claim the third spot in the rotation for the playoffs.

Nice win tonight....Bailey pitched well, couple of clutch hits (Hannigan, Frazier, Cozart) and overcame a good pitcher in Lee....team showed great resilience tonight, coming back three times....thank God for Chappy.....

Broxton sucked big nut again last night. I know I want Chapman to get a shot at the rotation, but it is reassuring to have him come out in the 9th. Any other guy pitching, and we probably lose that game.

With our bullpen being our biggest strength, we shouldn't have to keep losing leads late (that's twice in three days). Hopefully some guys other than Chappy pick up their games.

Right now the whole pen is struggling other than Chappy......Marshall and Broxton need to step it up again, right now......the Phillies, though, are a scrappy bunch of professional hitters who tend to rise to the occasion in clutch situations......Chappy just blew Utley away didn't he?

I sure am glad to get out of Philly with two wins....those guys are a real pain in the ass............Dusty obviously thought having the back of his bullpen rested for the Cards was far more important than going all out for the win tonight......

Yeah, Dusty gave that one away last night. The guy has mostly pulled all the right strings this season so we'll see how it plays out. But Cairo and Wilson Hernandez both had huge fails with a guy on 3rd and less than two outs. LeCure really lost the game for us. Hoover was lucky to get out of the ninth and tenth without giving up a run.

Yeah, a game they should have won. On the base hit that LeCure gave up to CF, I really thought that should have been a double play ball, but they had pulled Cozart closer to the hole than normal DP depth. Cost them right there. If he's normal DP position, then they are out of the inning with the lead.

Oh well. Stuff happens, but what's really disturbing is this 'pen has not been good, as of late, overall. Outside of Chapman and Simon, everyone else seems like they are really struggling to get through innings without giving up walks/runs.
