I don't see any real reason for optimism for the next decade. Walt is not a very good GM, we have no young talent, we have a few ridiculous contracts that will be hard to get rid of and we're not a big market team. I'm barely paying attention right now - Hard to imagine that I'll still care 3 or 4 years from now.

Don't look now, but he is over .250 batting with a .350 OBP, and only 30 k's in nearly 200 at bats to go with his 25 walks. He has a lowly batting average, but it isn't because he is not putting the ball in play obviously. He just keeps hitting the ball at opposing players. His BABIP is what has been terrible obviously with only 30 k's.

Even as bad as he has started off, his .350 OBP dwarfs everyone else in our OF on the major league club.
