Mmm, I think he could burn Sherman but dunno about Revis. Problem with Sherman is you can perhaps burn him but good luck burning Thomas. Sherman completely abuses possession/timing receivers. His strength (IMO) is not the hail mary deep routes (which is seldom used, hence his reputation).

He'll get his chance against Revis this year. Will be a hot take storyline I'm sure.

Not many better deep threats in the league than Jackson. He is certainly capable of beating any CB in the league over the top.

Yeah Jackson is incredibly underrated.

A complete jackass, but also underrated.

It would be scary what this guy could do if you put him with a Rodgers, Flacco, Big Ben (QB's with big arms that look for big plays).

How come others with bad qb can put up numbers? But for him it's an excuse?

Did you actually watch him play last season? I think given the situation his numbers are pretty amazing. Both QBs were pretty bad quite often & their play & bad O-line play really didn't give Jackson many opportunities. Some changes have been made which might fix that to an extent or may take a while (& maybe even a different QB down the road) to let this guy realize his potential.

Beyond that - I don't recall Jackson ever saying that the problem was with his QB & he has always been very supportive of whoever is under center.

I agree with your entire post SoCal and still glad he's in the NFC east... and I acknowledge he remains the best pure deep threat in football. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the point is valid. Time will tell.

Cause he is a home run hitter and you need a team with a QB (and OL) that can push the ball down the field.

Go look at target numbers for Jackson and then for other WR's. He lead the league in ypt in 2013 with the Eagles with 10.7 ypt....and then in Washington he smashed that number avg 12.3 ypt in 2014.

His lack of quality QB has lead to a lack of targets.

Just to give you an idea that last two years:

Dez Bryant 2553 yards on 298 targets
Desean Jackson 2501 yards on 220 targets
AJ Green 2467 yards on 296 targets

There isn't a better big play WR in the game right now. Obviously he isn't your prototypical #1 because of lack of size....but he is spot on when he says there isn't a CB in the league that can stick with him.
