Factually, The U.S. spends more on their military, 53%, than the next eight countries behind them combined, 47%; China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, India.... saw this graph earlier in the year, when talk of more war possible vs middle east (Iran ?).

when you're looking at top 15 nations military spending in the world, The U.S. spends 36.6% compared to the next 14 at 63.4%. pretty sad financial statistic. 600+ billion a year for the U.S. and the next closest, China at 122 billion.

We need to spend that money though. Remember the entire middle east is filled with bad guys. Except for that tiny little country in the middle or all of it.

I have a feeling thunder doesn't know all the details to his friend's situation. I believe UCLA tuition for in-state students is like $34k a year. Everything I've read show that the military doesn't give out anything close to that for an entire degree(let alone 2) unless you go to some university in Bethesda.

However, like u said, muzzer could wait for thunder's response before flying off the handle.

Yeah, sorry. I actually talked to him a few nights ago and forgot to ask. There is a good chance I will talk to him today at some point and ask him again. I don't know the raw numbers but the dude got to go to college and got some type of allowance to live on outside of the school being paid. He said when he moved to Cali to finish, they had cut some program he was (like the day he moved to the state) on and he did have to work and foot some of the bill. He DID NOT go to UCLA all 4 years but did finish there. I will disclose this guy is more resourceful than anyone I know and probably got the most out of any free goodies given out.

I have to give TP props in a matter of a half dozen posts -- He managed to tell Muzz to F off, called him old, whiny, prick, pompous ass, an asshole, jackass and a jaded old fucker.

If people on this board hadn't met TP in person -- I would be convinced he was a teenage girl, with the way he resorts to name calling to attempt to get a point across. It is entertaining to read, but it makes you look foolish and juvenile (and no I am not calling you foolish or juvenile, so please don't berate me)

You can get a Masters on the house. My daughter is going to ISU and they are paying her. Granted they only accepted a few kids into this program. No, not a free money program... a she a very bright and talented young lady who busted her ass in the first four years.

So this guy may have received a masters degree for peanuts.

Not sure if this is the same or not but my buddy received a ton of money from the air force to go to school to be a doctor including a 20,000 dollar bonus. Im not sure how much of his school was paid for but he received a monthly income for bills while attending.

If your active and getting the right degree the military well pay you salary a housing spend and all your tuition.I knew this from researching out the possibility of going to need school. For med school you have to serve 5 years after.
