For Ohio State, win it all. Minimum, make the playoffs.
For Texas, 9-3 is about the best. A win over Oklahoma would make up for missing 9-3.

Win the Big Ten West, play in a NY6 bowl.

The reach prediction would be to win the CCG and go to the playoffs, but they might need to be undefeated to do that. Any loss against a division opponent might be fatal (I'm not sure Northwestern loses two other games if they beat us, and they probably finish 9-3 or 10-2; Nebraska is less worrisome with PSU and OSU on the schedule), and Wisconsin needs to beat Michigan and Nebraska anyway in order to have enough 'quality wins' going into championship weekend that they have a shot of vaulting into the top 4 after beating OSU or PSU.

They should make a rule that if your team gets shutout in the playoffs, you're banned from the playoffs for 5 years, and have to pay any money the program made off of that game to the team that was 5th in the playoff standings.

Avoid the clearly and laughably illegal pick plays, and keep the ball our of Hurts hands and you're all good.

UConn: win a game. Just one game.

They face Holy Cross, it's like their only shot.

Have another season where the coach acts like a grown up. Win the PAC south, beat UCLA , Notre Dame and Stanford. Beat what ever team comes out of the north and get in the playoffs. It's a realistic goal but who knows if it's gonna happen.

^^^Pretty much this.^^^

At the minimum, should be a CCG appearance and Rose Bowl berth.

I'm not sold on USC just yet. Last time they had this much preseason hype, they finished 7-6.

Last time they had this much hype, they were under sanctions and Lane Kiffin was the coach. This year, they are at full strength numbers wise (could use a little more experience in a couple of areas) and have an actual adult as the head coach.

They still need to show it on the field though. There's still the question of...Is Helton actually the right guy or did he just ride a qb with a hot hand last season?

Sounds like the product of an insecure fanbase IMO.

Insecure? No.

I just understand and acknowledge that they have to prove that Helton is the right guy and that they have to show that the 9 game win streak they had wasn't a fluke. I also know that they have some unproven guys who will be playing some important roles this year.

On paper, they should win the PAC and make the playoff. However, the games are played on football fields.

They had those same sanctions and that same Lane Kiffin the year before when they finished in the top 5 that got them the preseason number 1 ranking.

Not so sure about being favorites to make the playoffs on paper. They've never won a Pac 12 title, and Washington has the better coach and has been there before, plus USC has to contend with Oklahoma for a playoff spot too. SEC, ACC and B1G champs are locks IMO.
