You'll get jaded and learn to be a pessimist one of these days, just like me(though I still get pissed even when UGA loses a game I predicted them to lose, so maybe it doesn't help at all)

I don't blame UGA fans for being pessimistic. I've been down here for nearly 10 years now, and stupid polls always get Georgia fans over excited about the upcoming football season: Ranking The Most Overrated College Football Programs of Last Decade

Although, I'd trade the past decade of Michigan football with Georgia football ALL DAY LONG! I think I'd rather be over ranked, than non ranked...which Michigan has been unranked for quite a bit of time the past decade.

They'll surprise me every now and again. 2007 and 2012 were pretty cool, and we had legit shots of making the title game both years(God damn Surrier in 07 ultimately cost us our shot, but 2nd in the Country ain't bad for a non blue blood, and 5 yards short in 2012), but then we'll have seasons like the last two seasons that make me want to pull my hair out.

Yeah but, I still believe Kirby is the right fit down there.
They need a culture change there, and he's making that happen.
Sometimes it doesn't show right of the bat, but year three is usually the sign of a program regaining that trend up, unless of course it's Sark or Lane as the head coach!

I think Kirby is the right guy for now(I might change my opinion if I don't see marked improvement this season over last), but he was left with a fairly empty cupboard at a lot of positions(WR, OL, DB and ST namely), so there's gonna be a good number of true freshmen seeing significant playing time this season. I just hope the young O-line can hold up and Eason can show some growth(aka not every throw has to be 100 MPH) and Chubb and Michel can close out their college careers on a high note.

Yeah you know when Petersen stepped in up here, he cleared out a lot of Sark kids, if they weren't going to buy in to his way, then they were out. To me the big thing with a new coach is how the defense is playing, once they get a defense built with speed and shutting down the running game things change for a program real fast !

You know Chewy I think Nick Chubb coming back is a huge lift for that young Oline. Anytime you have a running back that can run as well as he does only builds the confidence of an Oline....

As for Eason, I saw him in High School, young man has a very good arm, and sometimes he try's to hard, I think he also rebounds this year, plays smarter ball. Controls the offense better and things around him slow down...

Last year was a no win for Eason other than game experience. Chubb was there, but was still a bit gimpy most of the season, the o-line was getting penetrated every time he dropped back, and the receivers couldn't catch the ball when it hit them in the chest(at one point during the Ole Miss game, I typed out that I wish we had a white wide receiver with good hands just days after I stated my disdain for white receivers). Hopefully with Chubb and Michel fully healthy, a more talented(yet much younger and more inexperienced) O-line and some new receivers will help him out.

Finally figure out how to beat fucking Air Force

and just in general I would like to see us avoid becoming a comedy of errors in key division games for once

This was my first thought, just somehow beat Air Force.

And second was play all 4 quarters.

Still hurts to think how good we could have been last year if we played like we did on every drive instead of a few select drives during the game

We seriously didn't have many drives that were more than 5 plays last year, either we scored quickly, went 3 and out, or turned the ball over quickly

Without a game played yet, I'm cautiusly optimistic about LSU.

Can CoachO stay out of the way, unlike Les, and let his top-notch
coordinaters do their jobs?

The talent is there....

I want to see what that offense looks like with the new OC. I like some of the stuff he was doing at Pitt.

If Matt Canada can make Danny Etling look like a good QB, he'll be the most sought after new head coach in the country.
