Or maybe if he prepared the team better, like James Franklin does. Why haven't you commented on the fact that the culture there is so cowardly when it comes to OSU, according to Devin Bush?
You keep bringing up Penn State. Penn State is 2-3 vs. Harbaugh under Franklin. Franklin is 1-5 vs. Ohio State. Franklin is 2-4 against Michigan State. So no, I do not wish Harbaugh prepped like Franklin and Penn State because a few of the losses to OSU have been closer. That's a dumb argument.
1-5 vs OSU and easily could be 3-3. Significantly better than Harbaugh can say.
I would like it if they spoke publicly about treating OSU differently. I have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.
James Franklin has 3 top 10 finishes in the last 4 years (top 20 in the other year). Charlie Weiss had 2 seasons finishing ranked in the top 25 period. This is a very bad comparison.
So, you wish your coach actually coached them up instead of leaving the players basically feeling helpless going into the OSU game.
I'm not saying that. Again I don't know specifically what is done or isn't done. But I do know that they very rarely publicly talk about the importance of the game. And if that translates to what happens behind closed doors as well, well then that sucks. I would like to see some public fire from Harbaugh about the desire to beat them; ala like his post game comments after 2016.

These are not what-ifs. These are undeniable facts. James Franklin is 56-23 in 7 years at Penn State with 3 top-10 finishes and another top-20 finish, and that was coming off of NCAA sanctions from the previous regime. Charlie Weis was 35-27 at ND and finished ranked two times.
I think you're extrapolating too much on his comments. And I think that mentality comes from 15 years of getting our asses handed to us and not so much on a particular coaching staff or their inability to motivate.
In 5 years, Michigan has 1 top 10 finish, 2 top 15 finishes and 1 top 20 finish. I'm not sure Franklin's stats are all that much different. The swing was really 2016 where PSU got past OSU and Michigan didn't (though they should have). Again, Franklin has a losing record vs every major program in his division.
His exact words were "Obviously I was there, but I just felt like we need the right mentality. We need to walk into that game and not be like, ‘OK, I hope Ohio State don’t show up today.’
Franklin has won the division and won the conference, and is .500 in bowl games. He lost to Harbaugh the first two years when Harbaugh still had Hoke's players, but has taken two of the last three since Harbaugh's recruits have started to take over.
You keep adding qualifiers, like somehow Harbaugh's first two years don't count now.
