Not sure why you post about drafting RB's in the 3-5 rd but didn't try it in you mock. ...

I'm undecided on it. I'm still debating on Stacy in 2nd/3rd or holding out for Johnson in fourth. I was ignoring Gore because of all the spec but I may have to take a flier on him if I am picking early in the fifth.

I agree with Bandit (except I'm not sold on Jennings). My distant third would go to CJ1K, who is a proven reliable (if no longer spectacular) vet who stays on the field.

What's reliable to you? I think he's incredibly unreliable myself. I might have him on my team as my fourth running back, but I would definitely be upset if he was a starter on my team.

Gerhart is going in 4th/5th rounds at NFL.com. Over at ESPN, it extends to 6th. NFL.com does not put the value picks as high as ESPN does. Manning is not even ranked in the top ten at NFL.com unlike ESPN where he is ranked 5th.

In a recent mock I did(I'm trying not to do too much) my first five picks were Forte, Brees, Cobb, Patterson, and Hilton. I just winged first two picks with RB and QB since thats my intended target for round 2. There is a rb I can get late, its Hyde. Are fantasy experts downselling Gore again?

That team is terrible. You need a better number one wide receiver than Hilton. I would advise you to wait on a QB. Brees is pretty good, but drafting Brees will make it much more difficult to find Wrs and rbs that are reliable starters.

Hilton is not my top wide receiver, he is my no.3 but I have changed his spot now to either Gore, Cruz, or Richardson. And you can always find a strong receiver in Free Agency during the season or serviceable back. QB not so much. When I have an elite qb it makes things easier for me to work around. Rodgers and Brees can get 40 in a given game. Manning had quite a few 40 or more games last year. Having that is improtant and its a 6 point td for qbs in my league.

Reliable is durability, and average production on a consistent basis... 4th RB? good luck with that.

I guess that's why he has Cobb.

This guy puts up over 1,000 yards just going to the fridge. This year "SHOULD" and "HOPEFULLY"
will be very different. I believe he will have the proverbial FIRE under his butt. I would say don't fall asleep on Johnson this year.

Thats the Foot We Know.............

I may have to side with Foot. CJ1K seems to get no love. In the last 3 seasons, he's averaged 1454.0 all-purpose yards w/ 6.7 TD. He's played in all 36 games so he's durable. And now he's on a Rex Ryan team notorious for running the ball more than they throw (Jets were 5th in the league last year in rushing attempts.)

Okay I decided to break down Johnson's points(minus fragment) each week from last year
@Steelers(moderate run d)..........7 points(70 rush yards)
@Texans(moderate run d)...........9 points(96 rush yards)
Chargers(good run d)..................9 points(90 rush yards)
Jets(great run d last yr)................3 points(21 rush yards, 10 rec yards)
Chiefs(great run d)......................13 points(17 rush yards, 63 rec yards, TD)....Titans used screen option to get Johnson involved
@Seahawks(good run d)............5 points(33 rush yards, 21 rec yards)
49ers(moderate run d)................16 points(39 rush yards, 71 rec yards, TD)...Another team Ten employed the screen against
@Rams(mediocre run d).............29 points(150 rush yards, 2 TDs, 20 rec yards)
Jaguars(mediocre run d)......................5 points(30 rush yds, 42 rec yds, fumble). Bye week probably the factor
Colts(bad run d)..........................20 points(86 rush yds, 2 TDs, -2 rec yds)
@Raiders(moderate run d)..........7 points(73 rush yds, 8 rec yds)
@Colts.......................................15 points(69 rush yds, 32 rec yds, TD)
@Broncos(mediocre run d).........8 points(46 rush yds, TD, 9 rec yds, fumble)
Cardinals(great run d)..................15 points(40 rush yds, 51 rec yds, TD)
@Jaguars.....................................9 points(90 rush yds, 3 rec yds)
Texans.........................................19 points(127 rush yds, TD, 14 rec yds)

For a guy who had a bad season he had 6 games with 15+ points and these six were in his last 10 games. He especially killed the crap run defenses and he could have scored if he wanted in that last game at jags but they were just so awful at home. So really was he a disappointment?

I guess it should be worth noting that Fitzpatrick handed it off more than Locker.
