Out of these that should be available
Stacy(yes at NFL.com he is going 3rd)
Reggie
Matthews
Ellington
Spiller
CJ2K
Sankey
Gerhart
Rice
Pierce

So here's the pros and cons(some)
Stacy.....pros-Fisher will not put up with Bradford's mediocrity cons-Mason and Bradford
Reggie...pros-easier schedule that last year and two games against former teams. Fantasy playoff gold against vikings and bears cons-not really any just playing TB again and the jets.
Matthews...pros-none really, cons-tough run defenses on the schedule and he was not that great last year other than getting a bunch of yards in many games. He came on late however, but three in division.
Ellington.....pros-starting back cons-Seattle, @Atl, KC, @StL, and Seattle the last five weeks.
Spiller........pros-easier schedule and opportunities for some shootouts cons-Fred Jackson
CJ2K........pros-will deliver if starter and Ivory is injury prone, cons-jets rb by committee
Sankey......pros-is good rb3, starting back cons-tough schedule, AFC North on it
Gerhart.....pros-starting job cons-Jags home games and tough schedule including AFC North
Rice/Pierce.....pros-easier schedule, Rice healthier cons-who starts?

I am thinking of going RB RB RB in 2, 3, 4 or 2,3,5. So who out of these would be best to target?

Avoid Rice and Pierce. You don't know what's going to happen with Rice and that offensive line was horrible last year. Stacy is the clear cut leader of this group and you just can't pass on the talent of Reggie Bush. I know he has fumbling issues, but there's a chance he ends up with 800 rushing yards and 600 receiving yards. Ellington scares me to death because he's too small a back to carry the load. If Spiller can stay healthy he's great, but I don't think he can. CJ2K is on the downswing of his career so I'd avoid that too. Honestly I would rank them Stacy, Bush, Rashad Jennings (who isn't even on your list)

I agree with Bandit (except I'm not sold on Jennings). My distant third would go to CJ1K, who is a proven reliable (if no longer spectacular) vet who stays on the field.

Spiller goes in the convo with those guys, but I think you can safely take Stacy out. He should not fall to the 3rd unless something big happens to change his value. I realize that is where he may be ranked, but that does not mean it is where he will be drafted.

Agree - by time the season starts I'm betting less than half of those guys are available in the 4th - - unless this is a ppr league - and if it is your WR core will be awfully weak drafting RB's in the 3-5 rds.

With all due respect to everyone who posted on here, I don't know why Chris Johnson doesn't get credit for having rushed for over 1,000 yards every year he's played. I know he looked like he was taking plays off right after he got the big contract and I agree he did so maybe that's the reason, but that just shows how good this guy can be when he wants to be. This guy puts up over 1,000 yards just going to the fridge. This year "SHOULD" and "HOPEFULLY"
will be very different. I believe he will have the proverbial FIRE under his butt. I would say don't fall asleep on Johnson this year.

I also don't understand why people are not going crazy over Gerhart. Give me a guy that had a 7 plus yards per carry last year and who can catch passes and will get all the goal line work. Not to mention might be only one of 5 to be a FULL LOAD rb.

And of course I have to throw Spiller in there. With Watkins that O could be pretty fun to watch but Spiller should have the workload that was promised to him last year.

I would try and land a big 3 QB in the first then get all three of these guys then go for TE than gather my WRs which are plentiful.

I like gerhart if the value is right. I think late 4th or 5th would be good, but there is a lot of risk there. Todman is pretty good and Gehart has never had the full load before, so his YPC stats need to be taken with a grain of salt.

But what is 1000 yards? 63 yards per game? All that says is that he's durable, which is a good thing too I guess. It just seems like CJ1K only "plays" when he feels like it. And he likely won't have anything to do with the goal line, so he's all yours Foot.

I do think Spiller has a chance to be great, but that might be invisible hope too, so I can't trust that.

Gerhard...meh, I just don't get excited over Jaguars... since Brunell to Smith left town!

I'm sure most will disagree because the 'experts' keep saying the same thing, but waiting until the 5th, 6th or 7th rd for your #1 receiver is not going to get you much. I look at what is out there and I just don't see that quality receivers are much deeper than RB's - especially considering in most leagues you need 3WR's and 2RB's as starters. Factor in bye-weeks and it stands to reason the required demand is higher for WR, whereas the quality falls off much the same as with RB's.

I don't know Left, I think my plan this year is to solidify the TE spot first which I guess is a little contrary to my statement above, but thinking about it a little more in depth, If I can't get Rodgers, Manny, or Brees int the first then I am waiting on QB/ My top priority then becomes rb or te but only graham gronk or thomas. If all three TE are gone then im going rb rb rb with the first three pick.

The receivers that could be available in fourth would be Cruz, Allen, Sanders, Andre(maybe), Floyd, Patterson. I plan to take Patterson in early fourth or early fifth. He's just the one I trust the most out of those because of his late season games and the fact vikings play a lot of really good offenses on the schedule which is going to call for lots of 4th quarter airing out against the pats, saints, bills, and rams. And falcons, panthers(without CM), redskins, all their division rivals are unintimidating against the pass. And in late fifth there will be possibly Hilton still there(though I think Wayne if healthy has more favorable matchups) It's not a PPR I have thought about it though. It does appear late fifth is where research comes into play.

One thing that is going for him is a running qb, something he has not had since Young.

This is what I am planning to do, but was going to wait for Pita at the end of 7th. I'm interested in knowing what round to jump on Hyde and Mason(just in case).

As I said jags home games is Gerhart's achilles hill. I trust only two of their seven and that is Cleveland and Tennessee. Luckily they have Dallas in London.

With a qb already as keeper, the next three rounds are crucial and this what the likely result will be
Stacy/Reggie/Ball
Spiller/Ellington
Patterson/Cruz
or
Stacy/Reggie/Ball
Fitzgerald/Jackson/Cobb
CJ2K/Matthews(I am staying away from him)
or
Marshall/Green/Bryant/Nelson
Spiller/Ellington
CJ2K/Matthews

Its one of those options.

My first five picks will be Wrs and rbs or graham if I pick in the late first. If there's a quality rb left in the 6th I'll take him. I'm targeting gerhart and Jennings late. If I get both, I think I'll have a great team this year.

Gerhart is going in 4th/5th rounds at NFL.com. Over at ESPN, it extends to 6th. NFL.com does not put the value picks as high as ESPN does. Manning is not even ranked in the top ten at NFL.com unlike ESPN where he is ranked 5th.

In a recent mock I did(I'm trying not to do too much) my first five picks were Forte, Brees, Cobb, Patterson, and Hilton. I just winged first two picks with RB and QB since thats my intended target for round 2. There is a rb I can get late, its Hyde. Are fantasy experts downselling Gore again?

Not sure why you post about drafting RB's in the 3-5 rd but didn't try it in you mock. ...
