What a great game... This team is resilient and a blast to watch... 19-13, while gaining a full game on Texas... Whoot!!!

We're playing well but keep in mind, we were 17-15 at this point last year...

This year feels different. We were 1-5 on our first homestand and then completely turned it around. Felix came in off of an awful start and put up a quality outing. I don't want to jinx this team but this has the feel of a great year. Even Seager's infamous spring slump ended early.

I agree. It seems like we have a bunch of guys in the lineup who will at least put up a good fight most of the time, even if they don't end up getting a hit. I know that putting up a good fight doesn't sound too comforting when you still aren't seeing results with RISP as often as you'd like to, but at least with guys who put up a good fight, there's still a decent possibility of a hit every at-bat. There were way too many guys in the lineup last year who you'd see come up with RISP and you just knew you were gonna see a short at-bat that was most likely going to end in either a quick strikeout or a pop up to an infielder. With the guys we have now, the chances of those types of at-bats are far less likely and you can actually go into an at-bat optimistic even if the result isn't always a hit with RISP. These guys are drawing walks, running up pitch counts and dictating their at-bats. That's not something we saw much of last year.

Went to the game on a whim, sat 12 rows behind Ms dugout. Seats were amazing, as was Ketel Marte. Pretty cool to be at the game where Felix became the all time wins leader, too. Also ate dinner at the Hit it Here Café for the first time. Really good chow there.

I think you got it reversed. Last year after 32 games, the team was 15 up and 17 down. And that was also just a couple weeks before that 8 game skid, too.

Me as his at bat started:

"He should be bunting."
Pitcher's motion, not squaring up
"HE SHOULD BE BUNTING!"
Contact
"Or you can do that!" Arms raised in the air

Sometimes it's nice when taking a chance works out

I expect a tough one tonight. Smyly has been good. Hope Cruz is feeling better today and Guti can contribute
