The SecDef is the one who told the Army they couldn't allow the cadet to avoid his active duty commitment to play NFL, so it's going to be very interesting to see how this one works out with the Navy player.[/QUOTE]
I don't recall what happend with the Admiral David Robinson when he was drafted into the NBA? So many things change. Like what does the Navy recruiting look like today? If they're struggling the SEC of the Navy could possibly use that as a tool to convice the SECDEF to allow him to play? Then again you would have better insight as a West Point Grad. BTW congratulationas on such an accomplishment.

Jaelen Thompson was available.

I think they would have sprung for K White or Cooper if they slid far enough. Possibly the WR out of Louisville, but I think they were dead set on Shelton with their first pick.

It'll be interesting to see how they use him with Taylor...do they go some 4 man DL fronts or play Taylor @ DE in 3-4?

Curious to see what they do too. They could get creative and do some 3 man fronts with both of them in there covering the center and guards. Would probably cause some blocking issues, I'd imagine.

Lot of people don't know about Taylor...LY he was hurt and wasn't himself when he came back...if healthy..he and Shelton will be tough to beat in run blocking if this kid plays up to his draft status.

Browns should have a pretty stud defense this year. Hopefully, their offense isn't completely nonexistent like much of last yr. Even a mediocre offense should net them 8 wins.

Shelton was a great 1st pick. Strong would have been a killer 2nd!

He best beef up those calf muscles. They look lacking compared to those ham hocks.
Yea kind of lucky leg syndrome. He'll be lucky those legs don't snap off and get stuck up his ass.

Robinson was drafted in 1987 1st overall, but didn't play his first game with the Spurs until the 1989-1990 season, when they drafted Sean Elliott with the 3rd pick. Robinson did two years serving the Navy post-1987 draft.
