I'll start it off by saying I give the Seahawks a A+, a homer grade for sure, but this year I really like the way it went. A pass rusher for depth, some thing lacking from last year. A WR who will immediately be a ST stud and help the receiver corp. Then two OL that are really needed. After the first 4, I'm in a wait and see mode. However pretty happy overall. 4 players that will make contribution in 2015 is pretty impressive for a team that went to the SB last year.

Redskin grade: B+

Filled a lot of needs and made great trades to get more picks.

1. OT Brandon Scherff A-
2. DE Preston Smith A+
3. RB Matt Jones D (Walterfootball had him going in RD 5-7) Good player but not worth a 3rd round pick IMO.
4. WR Jamison Crowder B+
4. OG Arie Kouandjio A+
5. OLB Martell Spaight B+
6. S Kyshoen Jarrett C+
6. DB Tevin Mitchell C-
6. WR Evan Spencer B+
7. C Austin Reiter C+

B/D+

Yeah, you read that right. Baalke for all intents and purposes drafted for the future rather then plug depth holes the team suffers from now. So its going to take time to see if this draft class is us Niner fans are hoping for. I liked the Davis pick a ton, I trust Tomsula to be able to teach Amstead the fundamentals as well as nuances of 3-4 DE, was pretty happy at the limited game tape of Swelter and love his potential and the fact that we can redshirt him to allow him time to come back from a torn ACL, and am otherwise crossing my fingers.

Grade on overall talent/scheme drafted, B. Grade on Potential, A. Grade if Baalke shat the bed circa 2012 because he took guys that weren't productive in college with "high upside" that bombs (*ahem* *cough* Balmer *cough*), D+.

And also I read that people think the Seahawks had the worst draft but I side with the team that drafts as amazing as they do.

B- or C+

Incredibly lucky to have Dupree fall into our lap. But they pulled a couple questionable picks in the 2nd & 3rd. Steelers brass are confident in Senquez Golson, but I think he could have been taken in he 3rd. Early trigger for sure. Then they took Sammie Coates in the 3rd. Not sure why they needed a WR that early when they had other needs far greater than that. Glad they double dipped at CB by takin Grant in the 4th. Good TE pickup in the 5th with James. Solid D-line depth in Walton, and glad they pulled more depth in at OLB by taking Chickillo. He'll be a good project for Joey Porter. Holliman in the 7th was good. Would have rather taken Drummond, but either one is a ball hawk.

Overall they boosted their defense like we expected. Still some curious picks, but in Colbert We Trust!

1(17) DE Arik Armstead B/B+
2(14) S Jaquiski Tartt B
3(15) OLB Eli Harold B+
4(18) TE Blake Bell (The BellDozer) C-
4(27) RB Mike Davis A+
4(33) WR DeAndre Smelter A-
5(29) P Bradley Pinion D
6(14) OL Ian Silberman B-
7(27) OL Trenton Brown B+/A-
7(37) TE Rory Anderson C-

I don't like stockpiling picks into TE, given who we already have. There are plenty of players I would have rather had in Rd 4 then Bell. Armstead is the only draft pick that has an outside chance to start and that is only if Cowboy retires. This draft is for the 2016-2017 season which is near impossible to predict given the high upside projects that were taken.

Man ... I feel good about our selections because it filled some needs.. But as always, their all prospects, so you just have to wait and see for sure... My gut likes this draft for us though... I would say B+ just from my gut... I trust in Pete and John...

Some of these picks look good on paper but how will they look when they put on a uniform and actually play the game.

Filling needs is great only if you get a good player to fill that need. The teams that stress talent over need generally are the most competitive.

True... Pete and John have been awesome finding that balance... But we needed O-line and D-line help and their was just no way of getting around it... especially our O-line losing Unger and Carpenter ...

Agree. Seahawks biggest need was OL yet they waited to fill those needs until talent = need. At least that how I see it.

John Schneider spent many years in the Packers organization as a scout under Ted Thompson and is one of the brightest and best GM's in the NFL. Pete Carroll is very fortunate to have him as his personnel director.

Honestly this is about as good as I could have hoped for the Falcons. Got help big time on the DL and secondary, scored our starting RB and to top it off added the all time leading receiver in CFB history for some depth. Only thing we didn't get was OL help. I'd go A-

Best player according to who? Yes some say Williams was BPA in the draft so your logic means Bucs, Titans, Jax, and Oakland should also get F's. Scherff is a great tackle and fits a huge need for the Redskins. Trent Williams at LT and Scherff at RT. Skins gave up to many sacks and they needed to address their o-line. In FA they went D-Line and if they didn't I bet Leonard Williams would have gone to the Skins.

i give the Jets a C

And it is only that high because they were able to get the Best player in the draft...

I hated every pick after... I hate that they did not draft an OL(until the 5th round) or RB... A team with a questionable QB NEEDS a good run game and Ivory and Riddley are just not good enough...

I was upset with the Williams pick, but i understood that sometimes you just can't pass on a gift...

Agreed, they have improved their O-line in a major way.
This may make a big difference for RG3?????

It gives RG3 or who ever starts no excuses. They can't say well if my line played better I would have, should have... Now we will see what RG3 can do. I am not sold on him but with this improved o-line it gives the coaches a better look at the situation.
