The Hawkeyes improved from 60th to 51st, but still lag behind everyone in the Big Ten not named Rutgers. 46. Iowa State Trajectory: Down. After three years in the top 45, Cyclones have been 64th and 59th the last two. Iowa was around top 30 in football. Barely missed the NCAA tournament in basketball. B1G tourney champs in baseball, top 5 in wrestling. ISU was better in basketball (even though they lost to Iowa), probably good in girls XC.
