The suns...for real? Or are they just listed because they have a huge presence here?

Yes, for real. Suns fans are a little cray cray, but they support their team no matter what. Always have. I remember going to games at the Madhouse On McDowell with my aunts when I was kid. Didn't matter how good or bad the team was, or who they were playing. That place was always packed and loud.

The new arena is just a bigger version of that.

The Cavs attendance is 2nd in the NBA just behind the Bulls.

in 2014 with a bad-mediocore team they were 16th- ahead of many playoff teams

in 2013 when they were truly awful they were 22nd in the league in attendance

in 2012 - again, when truly awful and tanking they were 19th

in 2011- they were 3rd in the league in attendance

in 2010 they were 2nd in the league in attendance

in 2009 they were 5th

in 2008 they were 3rd

in 2007 they were 3rd

in 2006 they were 5th

in 2005 they were 6th

I am willing to bet there were not more than 3-4 teams in the last decade that have been consistently supported by their fans like the Cavs- even when they were terrible they never free falled to the last quarter of the league

the Suns? is that a joke- last year in their reniasannce year they were 24th in the league- this year 23rd-
in 2013 they were 23rd.....even at the very bottom of the Cavs rebuilding they ALWAYS drew more loyal support than the Suns.

I often wonder why BBAll failed in Buffalo and St Louis................Bills fans are uber loyal and Cardinals fans ditto in MLB.

They had stars on those teams too

St. Louis is a fan of who's good in town and the Cardinals are always good.

Cleveland fans are mostly Lebron fans. That explains those stats. The year after he left they remained near the top, but mostly because Cleveland Lebron fans had already bought their tickets and decided to go to the games. Don't get me wrong, Cleveland fans are definitely better than Miami fans, but I don't think they crack the top 10.
